When I reply/quote in a thread, I am unable to see my own messages.
Any setting I should change?

Yep, waiting on a "go-ahead" from admin to apply a security update patch from the authors of the core software which resolves at least one of the pesky glitches we are experiencing... when you see "SMF 2.0.3" instead of "SMF 2.0.2" at the bottom of the page, you'll know the patch has been executed & trigger a new round of monitoring for errors, keeping in mind that the problems we've been experiencing do not create messages in the admin error log so we welcome member reports about such things...

I applied it. So I guess we will see if it fixes things.

It didn't fix the missing 2nd post problem.

mine didn't show with my latest post??  Hasn't been a problem for me until just now.

ok, will investigate that one deeper and let yall know what I find... the update did fix the advertising showing on all postings in a thread...

Reply #2 always does not appear on every page. so it is like #2 #16 #31 #46....and so on... but when you try to post you can see them. I can see Nevertheless posted twice. I'm not seeing these glitches folks, I'm gonna have to have more input and be able to recreate what yall are seeing to get an idea on what to fix, the system hasn't hiccuped for me since yesterday morning before the update was applied...

@Lily ... that link functions perfectly for me, i see no issue...

@admin ... standby on the advertising issue, that could just be a Adsense issue, need to email you some more questions about it

Barry you will just have to follow a thread until it reaches the second post on any given page. Once it has a few post then the second one shows up.

Lets try to make this one go to next page and then the second post should be invisible being this one is about to switch

I adjusted my setting to 50 posts per page, so I'm not missing as many posts as some of you. However, the first reply to a thread is missing on every thread.

I am also still missing the second post on any given page, this will be at the top of the next page on this thread.

When I first followed the link given by lily, I got a very strange page most everything was there but the borders between threads were missing.  I am not sure if that was before the update or not, but it is back to normal now.

This post will be hidden, I am still on the default of 15 posts a page.

Confirmed, I do see that now, there is a problem somewhere in the code changes made recently, however the exact cause is going to be tricky to track down because this issue doesn't give me much of a trail to follow in the admin error log so be patient, I can fix this but it may take a little longer than usual to get squared away, this is not an issue on my site so can't test it there before modifying our live production site here, I'll put the system into "maintenance mode" before making any changes once I find the culprit...

Yeah I did earlier, but I was trying to make sense of some of p.r.'s posts attempting to accommodate the glitch, and changed it back to the default.  Didn't help though, his posts still didn't make much sense.

The "Oral Laws" thread in the married sex folder is showing reply #1 but is the only thread I have seen that does so. 

Apparently the poster (also the OP) had quite a time of it getting it to show:

That's happened to me before. Once I was indicating an unknown person and put the wrong number of X's in a row, other times it hasn't liked links, which were all, ironically, other posts on this forum. Once you narrow it down to the offending portion and make the change, the post will go through, but finding what's causing it can be a pain.

I seem to be having the same problem as others. I cannot read my own posts, although the forum says I was the last who posted.

Also, sometimes I do not have the option to do quick reply. I have to actually click on "reply." The message with quick reply is that we can still use bulletin board and smileys, but they don't load for me to use.
