To the administrator why did you censor my post on ecstasy?

Hello moderator, Christianity is meant to be a questioning and searching faith, so why, when I posted a message that I am a christian and I was planning to attend an ecstasy party and what did people on your forum think about this, why did you block this message? Jesus turned water into intoxicating wine for a party and Himself drank wine, not to excess but many Christians do, I do not drink and do not take drugs in excess by any means but occasionally let my hair down for a good dance and a laugh. Frankly I was surprised at the lack of will on your part to host this post. Could you please explain your reasoning, better still, allow me to post my original question and let other readers comment and stop, it seems,  trying to protect your readers from considering 'contentious' views. Otherwise what's the point of hosting a'discussion' forum. At least you'll be allowing an interesting discussion on recreational drug use in christian circles which is by no means a rare phenomenon. As a rider for this debate, what about the regular use of anti depressants and other 'law-abiding' yet often very damaging mood-altering drugs taken by the bucketload by Bible believing individuals across the western world? In many instances, the law is an ass. It is now legal to smoke marijuana in certain states in America. What are the readers' view on that? Will this forum allow such discussion? I hope so.
Thank you
Ransomovitch

First of all, I don't feel myself that "loosening up" to what other believers are doing is glorifying God in any way. This forum is meant to be an encouragement to other members, but at the same time there exist many topics which can be viewed from many different perspectives, all the while keeping scripture as the backbone of these topics. That said, recreational drug use certainly is not something God would be acceptant of and attempting to justify such use because "other" Christians partake in prescription drug abuse does not in any way strengthen your case.

Secondly, because the law allows such illicit behaviour does not make it right either. I won't even begin to start counting the sins that the law has made permissible in their courts, but those that create the laws will be the ones held accountable for such actions.

I hope you find better answers through reading and prayer, God desires the best for us, not what WE will tolerate.

My post isn't promoting illegal behaviour,it's asking people's views on a certain subject. It's illegal for a married person to have an affair yet you have many posts on dealing with the fallout of such behaviour. You are not judge and jury jarrod although it appears you think you are. You are not engaging with the real world. There's a quote somewhere in my head that says when Christians refuse to engage with the real world they end up navel gazing. I'm sorry mate but I can't believe how narrow minded you're being about this to not allow debate on this matter.

Rule No. 4 - No "Offensive" or "Illegal" Posts, PMs, Links, or Images
4.1 You will not post, attach, use or send any posts, PMs, links, images or files:
a. that are obscene, vulgar, or sexually explicit. Discussion of the sexual relationship between a married man and woman may be discussed in the Love and Marriage Relationships Forum.
b. that are hateful, racist, or sexist (discussions regarding certain biblical interpretations on the roles of men and women will not be considered "sexist" under this rule).
c. that violate or promote the violation of local or international laws and regulations (including the posting of any copyright material such as songs, movies or text). All quoted articles from external sources such as news articles must not be more than 10% of the original article to be legal or else copyright is infringed. A link must be provided to all quoted material. The only exception is quotes for AP (Associated Press) articles which are limited to one sentence only or where permission by the author is granted for reproduction in full with the permission statement.
d. that are blasphemous or satanic (including posts that take the Lord's name in vain).
e. puts down or belittles Christianity as a whole, a Christian group or denomination or God Himself, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Bible or any other Christian objects of significance (as this is a Christian website).
f. depicts self-harm, suicide, cruelty to animals or harm towards others.
g. that is in all CAPS. Such posts may be deleted.
4.3 You will remove any word and use an alternative if the word you posted is automatically censored by the site. You will not attempt to bypass the automatic word censor in any way.

Sure there are many threads dealing with extra-marital affairs, but I've yet to see some one come here and ask for our opinion of them engaging in these acts as the answer would be quite obvious.

Ransomovitch,
Its not illegal to have an affair. Its morally bankrupt, but not a criminal offense.  Taking drugs that are not prescription IS.  The buying, the selling and the taking of them.

To compare that to taking prescription drugs that are meant to manage pain/depression is a ridiculous stand to take.

Nevertheless

The question asked on this thread has been answered. The rules do not allow promotion of illegal activities.

It does not matter if someone thinks the activity should not be illegal or thinks that other legal activities are just as bad or worse. It does not matter if someone thinks the rules should not apply to their particular issue.

The rules will be enforced.
