This is from the list I posted concerning the differences in Messianics vs. Christians:

-A Jewish person who converts to Protestantism is referred to as a Hebrew Christian, not a Messianic Jew. -Messianic Judaism and Protestantism teach the biblical doctrine that salvation is a free gift from G-d, by faith in Yeshua.

I have mentioned Zola Levitt at this board many times.  Zola is the founder of Zola Levitt ministries.   I faithfully watched his programs and read his monthly newsletters for many years prior to his death.   I'll never forget Zola stating during one of his programs that viewers could pass on sending in donations for the coming month because the ministry had a surplus of funds.  That is integrity.

Zola always called himself a Hebrew Christian.   Knowing him he would not let anybody bully him, including Messianics. I think he chose to refer to himself that way.

I think this might be the greatest hypocrisy in this whole matter.   I really need to stop focusing on Messianic Judaism because the more I read the more hypocritical the whole movement appears to be to me.  It is very divisive.   I hope that we all would recognize it as such.

Zola Levitt, who was as Jewish as Jewish can be, according to what defines as Jew, was a member of a Baptist Church.   He never boasted.   He never said that he had an advantage and I never once, over many years of listening to him, heard him say that the New Covenant was Israel's own covenant.   He taught the Millennium as I was taught it early on, with all believers in Christ on the earth and united as one under Christ.   None of this Jewish superiority nonsense that Christians seem to be swallowing by the bucket.

Anyway, the Messianics think they have the authority to define a Jew, like Zola Levitt, who converted to Protestantism, as a Hebrew Christian.   But a goy can convert to Christ and be a Messianic Jew.    Let's get real people.   Messianic Judaism is a cultural movement.   It makes one no more saved in Christ.   No one is saved outside of Christ's righteousness.   I'm not a genius, but I have enough gray matter to know that if Messianic Judaism is correct, and the New Covenant is the Jewish Covenant, then all of us goyim better become jump ship and get on the Messianic boat.  They are accepting of Gentiles.   A large percentage of them are Gentiles (no matter what Paul said).  But we don't have to if we've put our faith in Christ.   Wearing a yarmulke, reciting liturgy and celebrating feasts won't add to our righteousness.    Christ sits on the throne and He won't bend down to be any closer to you if you're in a Messianic congregation instead of a Baptist congregation.

Yesterday I was reading Sydney Ahlstrom's book, A Religious History Of The American People.  He included a chapter on Judaism.   He mentioned how post WWII America became the opposite of anti-Semitic.   The anti-Semitism flag is waved at this board quite often.   Ahlstrom's claim is that after WWII Jewish people in America, with all of the intermarriages taking place, essentially blended into society to the point that some Jews thought it had gone too far in that direction and wanted to turn things back in the other direction so that they would be recognized as a purely distinctive people.   I think this is the motivation behind Messianic Judaism.   I read some writings at a Messianic web site last night and it was stated there that a Jew is not Jewish just because of his or her religion but being a Jew defines his or her racial designation.   Well, that's not really true.   The truth is that the people referred to are Hebrews.   Hebrews, Arabs and Ethiopians are the Semitic people groups.   No country in the world has been accepting of so many people groups and nationalities than the United States.   We are not an anti-Semitic people.   I few kooks from the KKK or other British Israelist groups do not make us a bunch of anti-Semites.   We are letting people tear us down and praising them for it.   We don't need more division in this country or in Christianity.
