How do I turn my "quote" feature on? It isn't working. It just sends me to quick reply.

Thanks!

I don't know that there is a quote feature to turn on or off. You can disengage the quick reply on your profile page. Just click "Profile" , then "Look and Layout". At the very bottom of that page you'll see a box that has Show quick-moderation as . Hit the arrow on the right of the box to make you selection to keep the quick reply or disable.

Quote feature should show whenever you're going to post a reply as the buttons on the bottom right of the window where you compose the reply.
Or, it is in the toolbar right above the box where you compose a new thread or a reply and  is located under the window that says "font size". A little button icon that looks like this:

Hope that helps.  ::smile::

I think some people hit the reply button and then attempt to use the "insert quote" function at the top right of each person's post. This feature just does not work here.

Nevertheless

The "Quote" button used to work properly. Some time ago it went on the fritz. I don't know if it will ever be fixed, but there is a workaround. Simply right click on the "Quote" and choose "Open link in new tab".

Another trick I found is to modify your settings.

From the Profile Menu, select "Account Settings".
On the Left Hand side, click "look and layout".
On the setting "Use quick reply on topic display" select "Don't show at all".

This will force all clicks of the "Reply" and "Quote" buttons into a new tab.  Which is nice anyway, since then you get the emoticons.  But clicking "Quote" will open the quote in a new page, like if you right-click and select "Open in new tab".

Nevertheless

Thanks, Catholica! I like that solution better.
