I sit here today, playing the role of the Prodigal's parent.

*The* hardest season of being a parent?  IMO, the season of young adult children, who are learning who they are and deciding *if* they will live the faith they were raised with. ::prayinghard:: ::prayinghard:: ::prayinghard::

Many who drift away come back later on.

Yes, that is my prayer, Chosen...prayer and prayer and prayer...praying away the generational sin that runs in my family, where most of sons abandon the faith.  ::prayinghard:: ::prayinghard:: ::prayinghard:: ::prayinghard::

A good friend of mines husband has just become a believer, after 40 years of marriage. he is 70. She has been praying for him for so long. He was very antagonistic towards her faith for so long. Its never to late.  ::smile::

Thank you for this...I was just telling God, "oy..I've run out of words."  I prayed that He would hear my earlier prayers echoing back and forth.  I know He knows my heart, I know He remembers that we gave our boy back to Him, I know He promises that His Word does not come back void and my boy KNOWS the Word.
