I can no longer access this site from work.  It just times out and the NOAA spash screen comes up saying that the site is allowed but timed out. (the same splash that we get when trying to access an illegal site like porn or gambling)

Did someone make changes to the site about 2 weeks ago?

I know our company has a block on social media sites like Facebook or Twitter, but GC is not in that category here. I wonder if they put a block on all blogs, Forums and such.

Dave, it sounds like your work increased their security level and it ended up blocking our site. Bummer. Maybe you could chat with them about that. Maybe it has found some words on the forum in discussions that it doesn't like.

Any word on this?

Well, today the site just came up.  I do not know what changed since yesterday, but here I am.

No - the error screen just has the NOAA logo, and the words "timed out."  in the following info, it says this site is listed as "allowed."  So there was nothing objectionable like that.

Part of the issue has to be the multiple levels of security.  Office of Coast Survey has the first level (from our side) and then National Ocean Service  and then the US Department of Commerce.  OCS is here in Maryland, NOS is down in South Carolina, and DOC is in Washington DC.

 You've heard of people who didn't know anything, well, I don't even suspect nothin.
But, that has happened a number of times at home and it seems to work if I restart my pc.
Don't know if that actually works or was just a coincidence

Apparently the rebooting is of no use. As this morning I tried everything I know and then some, for over an hour and could not get anything to work. Said "timed out" when it started.
