Yes, they allow gay members which i don't agree with,
but i really like the freedoms and the many views and beliefs they accept...
we should be free to explore our spirituality whether that be in numerology, spiritism, or whatever...

i'm not a member of this particular church, but i'm liking some of what i see

anybody else have expreriences with unitarian universalist

To be correct, what you are referring to is not "freedom" but "license".  You like that the unitarian universalists would give you license to explore numerology, spiritism or whatever.

Freedom comes in knowing the Truth and living it.  The unitarian universalists are wrong in many things, the most fundamental is the fact that they explicitly deny that there is one God in three persons, Father Son and Holy Spirit.  That's what "Unitarian" means.  Secondly is the false notion that all persons go to heaven. (hence the name universalist)  That is also false.

The only reason to believe something is because it is true, and unitarian universalism is just about as false as it can get.

You already have license to explore spiritism and numerology and whatever you want without being a unitarian universalist.  You have license not because God wants you to use it to explore false things, but because God gives all men free will.  He gives it to us for the purpose of being free to choose to love Him.  However you cannot truly love someone you don't know, and so if you want to choose to love God and use your free will the way God intended for you to use it, you have to avoid listening to people who teach false things about God.

You know in your heart that unitarian universalists are wrong to not call people with same sex attraction to be chaste.  What I am saying that that is just a symptom of a deeper problem, which is that unitarian universalism is itself false in its basic understanding of the nature of God, and all other errors will flow from that.

I was a practicing UU for 20 years. I stopped going when the church got co-opted by Pagans. Instead of thought provoking sermons on humanism and the benefits of a liberal religion, which appealed to me mightily, my wife noticed an implication in so many messages we should worship the Earth.

My wife rightly points out that we should take care of the Earth but not worship it.

I met a Christian UU and worshipped with him for nearly 20 years.
