I am 25 now and since I was 19 I fornicated with escorts and also become very addicted to porn. I have turned a new leaf and became useful to my church in youth and volunteering, but I havent told anyone of my dark past.

I really would love someone to speak with but I am afraid of being shamed and losing everyone's trust.

Why do you feel the desire to tell someone?

Have you repented of these sins and confessed them to God?

Have all of these activities stopped before you started going to this church, with no relapses, or how long have you been porn/sex free?

Were you in any sort of a relationship while this was going on?

Don't be surprised if there are other people in your church who had a similar past.  I did.  In fact, over 60% of the men in your average church still look at porn.  And that includes 51% of pastors.

If these are things that still tempt you, I suggest an accountability partner.  You don't need to give them all the "gory details" but let them know there is sexual sin in your past and it still tempts you (if that is true).

If you just want to confess to someone to get it off your chest, schedule an appointment with the pastor.

anyone that makes fun of another is not a very loving person.  the only way you will become victorious in your life is to let go of the things which are holding you back.  fear is not of God and so to hide what you are afraid of will only make things worse.  the best way is to bring it out in the open.  you have started out really well.  i am proud of you.  now step out in faith keep going.  i have dealt with porn addiction and sex outside of marriage.  so if you would like i will listen to your story.

God bless

Thank you 7angels I appreciate you loaning your attention on my issues. I continue to deal with these issues and everyday I struggle to keep my faith. I wonder if there is anyway I can message you personally?
