MeMyself

Went with the family to watch Risen today. I really enjoyed it.  There was some poetic license, but nothing to fret over. It didn't take away the Truth of Who Christ is or His salvation message.

Just a really well done, well written, well acted Christian film...for once!  ::clappingoverhead::

I enjoyed it also, kind of a POV film that no one could discredit or prove as truth which IMO gave it strength as a great story.

Tertullian

The movie would have made a lot more sense if the investigator were a Jew looking for Jesus, rather than a Roman looking for Yeshua.

I'm still waiting for quality Christian movies that honor God.  They are so very rare in our modern age.  At least this one didn't make me want to puke.

War Room was good in that it honoured God and His word becomes alive when we seek Him through fervent prayer.

::smile:: That one was hard for me...sometimes I wish Christian movies would end without everything being all tied up in a nice neat little bow.

It would be nice to see that some were still standing in prayer for specific things even at the end of the movie, because that's the reality of a prayer warrior.  God doesn't always say yes in a nice quick amount of time...sometimes wait is what He says and it would be nice to see the wait played out on screen too.  ::shrug::

Shekinah Glory

I very much enjoyed Risen. One for the DVD collection imo.
