Hi there. I'm Penguin, but most folks call me Rob. I'm looking for something resembling fellowship here, while I search for a church home. Of course I won't just Mary Poppins outta here when I do find a church, but this'll give me some interaction with my fellow Christians in the interim.

Like I said, I'm Rob. I'm 32, single, and a self-employed writer working on my debut project. I am also looking to start my own business. I'm disabled, so I've got lots of time for big dreams and the work to make them a reality. I made a confession of faith as a wee lad of five years old, but I don't know when I really started to understand my faith. At any rate, I've been a bona fide Christian for some time. I was raised Southern Baptist, but I'm unaffiliated with any denomination these days.

My interests are pretty varied. Penguins are near the top of the list. I'm also a nerd (I had that covered way before it was cool), with an interest in conversations deeper than your average parking lot puddle. I dislike spiders, okra, and bad theology, but on that last point, I'm not one to get too uppity. If you're a writer or looking for a good conversation, I'm glad to meet you. If you want to know anything, just ask.

Thank you for the encouraging advice. I have been praying about it, and I'm looking forward to visiting a specific church next week after having seen one of the sermons online.

Batman's and my relationship is largely misunderstood. We're both card-carrying members of the League of Animal-Inspired Persons. He and I just have an agreement to keep each other on our toes.
