I have not named any specific persons as members of the group that I refer to as the "Gang of Five."  To me this was done tongue in cheek but there are some here seem to be really upset by it.  Something which is supposed to just be in my head sure has upset some folk.  Like the adage, "if the shoe fits..."  I didn't attack any particular person's character when I used that phrase and I still haven't.   A thread was started here - the name of which you changed - that used that phrase.   I had nothing to do with that but you made a comment to me as though I had a part it.  Unfair of you. 

There is a truth in all of this which is undeniable.  There are only so many people who actively post in the Politics forum.  I know for a fact that there are other members here who do not post in that forum who would otherwise like to but they don't want to be attacked by the same bunch of people who post there and cannot tolerate any negative comment about Trump.

Trump is a public figure and I don't understand why, on a Christian forum, the man is held up like he is beyond reproach or any sort of criticism as though he is some sort of prophet.   He has been characterized here as "God's man" but I'll say what I've said before that God has used him and He has used Trump to reflect back to us the sort of people we have become in this country called the United States.   

I try to be a decent member here.   I don't quote the commentaries of theologians and post them here as my own ideas as I've seen others do.  I don't follow behind others and try to upset them.  If that's happened it has not been intentional.  I've never followed people here to this forum from another forum and to another forum before that.   I don't have multiple screen names and I've not yet been banned and come back here under various new names.  I guess there's always that possibility I could be banned.  I've never been concerned about it and just feel like when my time is done here it will just be that time.   I won't come back under new names and pretend to be a new poster multiple times.   

You can either respect my opinion or not.   The reason I'm doing this one-person crusade is that it's not a one-person crusade.  This forum used to be robust and now it's just about gone.   I know that you, Alan, have stated that "other forums are falling too."  That's a fatalistic attitude.   I see other Christian forums which are very robust.  Former posters from here have gone to them.   

I have not changed the names of any threads, not lately anyway. Your assumptions are mind boggling, but I'd like to know why you are appealing to me? I'm volunteer staff here and try to do a good job of keeping things tidy but aside from that I have no agenda, some of the most congenial people here have very opposing views to mine but I like them, enjoy discussing, kibitzing, and generally chatting with them. Not sure what else to tell you except "keep running the race".

I would say if another forum or two is more "robust" or more attractive than this one, go for it if GCF doesn't float someone's boat. I don't know what Admin thinks about a lot of things. If he doesn't like the way some of the moderating is done, then he has every right to remove the offending voluntary moderator. I could EASILY and with gusto go back to a non-moderator status.

"Hey, notreligus", in the political forum. All about Joe Biden potentially tossing his hat into the 2020 mix.

I will freely admit that I do counter back when someone... anyone... not just notreligus ... pounces on our President with no
logical comments what so ever.

So I freely offer up to go ahead and give me 40 lashes, either eye or with a wet noodle and go ahead and give me a warning and
monitor me. I am a big girl... (oops almost said boy)...

Rella, I wouldn't worry about it, dear one. If someone doesn't like your hearty defense of POTUS, that's his issue - not yours.

Years ago, when I used to post at another forum, someone who likes to tattle on members thought he was reporting my post, but instead of hitting the alert button on my post, he was so distraught that he got confused and hit the pm button to me - without realizing it, so his rant about me came to me, instead of the mods. Nothing like reading a long spewy anger filled message about you that you weren't supposed to see. 

I think our mods are doing a great job - especially with the fiery politics forum. I couldn't imagine serving as a mod and being on the receiving end of constant tattlers.
