A sacred place that I want to protect

Sharky and George

Your frontal lobe in your brain is where your imagination is, the place where the heavenlies are for you, the place where you run away to Abba Father as a child - a sacred place. When you quite smoking, life feels so much richer, sometimes like when you were a child.

Smoking seals up your frontal lobe and thus your imagination.

Brothers and Sisters, smoking is not a sin but you would be much happier off of them and so Jesus would be happy for you too,

OR (cut down then quit)

Buying a proper (do it right and win) E-cigarette which costs about £100, I can guide you to brands (mods I hope this is ok - I can edit this if you want) if you PM me:
   • 5000 unknown chemicals in cigarettes. Only 72 unknown in E-cig fluid. *
   • Any flavour from strawberry to chocolate to jam donut.
   • Cut down nicotine levels over time easily by buying different levels in your liquid.
   • Changeable amount of vapour.
   • They have been out for a while now ("no one knows the long-term effects" is old now) and they are safe e.g. diactol which causes popcorn lung has been removed from the liquids.*

This has got me off fags for two years and I am doing the half-marathon for Tearfund in October therefore I am healthy. I puff on my E-cig like a chimney with 6mg nicotine in my fluids.

Print this stronghold buster out and use once a day for two months. Just read it parrot fashion for this time - don't struggle through it but do  it:

"In Jehovah Ratha's name I affirm smoking hurts me and others a lot as it is a nasty habit therefore I will quit smoking so I can bless this temple of the Holy Spirit that has been bought with a price:

   • Feel fresher and more attractive
   • Smell nice
   • not be in slavery
   • more understanding thus less stress
   • have more money
   • holier to serve
   • enjoy e-cig flavours
   • life is richer
   • Smoking is nasty and destroys me
   • add other reasons you can think of

I smash my habit of smoking to pieces, in Jesus name!

Thank you Jesus that I will quit smoking and feel great as I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me.
Amen"

Any problems after that then go to a pipe at least as the tobacco is less damaging.

Shalom :)

Being respectful to the OP's opinion, but according to researchers, e-cigarettes may be more harmful than previously thought. See BBC News: Health:  https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-45170756

The jury is out except that it's vapour that vanishes into nothing. Vaping is not something I'd wish to take up. But thank you. Good luck with your vaping.  ::smile::

A fortnight ago while shopping in the historical town of Alcúdia, I suddenly became enveloped in a massive cloud of fog-like steam swirling about, temporarily blocking my vision; it smelt of vanilla, not bad, but unwelcoming. The vaper was using a tank actually called a 'fogger'. Just that I didn't welcome suddenly vanishing from my little girl...

I fixed the fogger an icy stare, but like so many tourists he seemed unaware of my ire and walked off merrily puffing. I wouldn't have minded if he apologised, but I don't think tourists are aware that courtesy and plain good manners still exist today.

I will admit, however, to enjoying the occasional cigarette with my morning espresso. Not in all my 24 years, however, have I ever had an addiction to tobacco. I suppose I get through one packet in a month. It's an enjoyment with strong coffee, no more. And no rap, please, for my sharing.   ::smile::

Some ppl would say that a packet per month is hardly smoking at all, anyway.

I suppose one could say that coffee is a stimulant, while inhales are relaxants. Or whatever the word is.

Well, I don't mind. Could say the same about a nice cuppa tea I'm enjoying right now. No cig. Just a biscuit to dunk.  ::noworries::

The aroma of coffee rather complements the smoke, really; they go together, I guess. Although I gave up both.

Good of you to stop drinking tea and coffee if it aids your health, I'm all for that. But would you consider drinking a fruit tea or a ginger tisane? I have a good recipe plus a soothing elixir perfect for chilly days. I'll post them later in Recipes.

We do have supplies of tisane type teas, although my wife is more into them than I am...

I do drink tea but not coffee.

Yes, it would be interesting to see your recipe.

So do you like to smoke occasionally with your tisane? or maybe for you cigarettes are reserved for your coffees, sometimes?

No, farouk I only enjoy the occasional smoke with coffee. The cigs belonged to my late mother, custom made for her by Treasurer in London, pure Virginia and she also had a massive supply of Zhiganovs. I could never justify paying for their high price. Mother bought thousands from her constant travelling so I guess it'll take me quite a few years finishing them off.

I'll post that tisane recipe down in the food forum, along with a splendid masala chai. That is a very comforting beverage for a cold wet windy night.

Thanks!

Sounds anyway like you have plenty of supplies of both teas and cigarettes to last you a long while.

That's a lot of nice inhales that you're assured of there...

Yes and Peggy said stop it. I probably will anyway. I don't envisage going that far into smoking! Twenty years? Oh my, I'll be knocking 35 by then!  rofl

As for vaping I'm not sure if it's anywhere as safe as it's cracked up to be. People who buy vaping paraphernalia can shell out a lot of money and yet still they cough like seals! I mean, come on - 90 eur for a tank and then there's smoke liquid, coils to heat it up and invariably the cost of lithium batteries. It's a big cost layout which doesn't diminish, according to a vaper I know. He smokes 0% nicotine liquid. So why not give up altogether if he doesn't get a nicotine hit? When I asked him that, he didn't answer but rudely walked away. And all vapers are like him, which explains why I don't like talking to them, let alone being smothered in a fog!

Oh dear, yes indeed 45. Shows I'm getting tired and must close now and go home.

And no smoking either.
