QuoteU.S. bishops praise Biden's 'humane' actions on immigration

The U.S. bishops' conference welcomed President Joe Biden's immigration actions on Wednesday, while one Catholic group decried the continuance of deportations.

On Tuesday, the White House announced several executive actions on immigration reform; these included the creation of a task force to locate separated immigrant families, ordering a review of Trump-era restrictions on asylum seekers, and an order seeking to address the root causes of migration from Central America.

The chair of the migration committee at the U.S. bishops' conference (USCCB) welcomed the actions, saying they "will help to ensure that immigrants and refugees are treated humanely and in accordance with their God-given dignity."

"Actions implemented by the prior administration on these issues have directly impacted and harmed immigrants' and refugees' lives, in many cases needlessly instilling fear and creating or perpetuating family separation," stated Bishop Mario Dorsonville, auxiliary bishop of Washington, D.C. and USCCB migration chair.

However, the executive director of Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. (CLINIC), Anna Gallagher, pleaded for a stop to deportations of asylum-seekers that were ordered by the Trump administration and scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 3.

Although President Biden previously ordered a 100-day halt to some deportations of immigrants, a federal judge on Jan. 26 suspended that order. Deportations ordered by the Trump administration were allowed to go into effect.

Those included for removal on Wednesday included Haitian asylum-seekers, immigrant families detained in Dilley, Texas, and "dozens of people who fled atrocities in Cameroon, Angola, and other countries," Gallagher said on Tuesday.

"No human being should be sent back to harm. When our government shirked that responsibility for four years, people died," Gallagher stated.

Among its immigration actions, the White House announced on Tuesday that the administration will review the previous halt to new asylum grants during the COVID-19 pandemic, and would consider how to receive asylum seekers who were affected by the previous "remain-in-Mexico" policy.

The administration will also consider reviving the Central American Minors program.

"We know that changes will take time but applaud President Biden's commitment to prioritize assisting our immigrant and refugee brothers and sisters," Bishop Dorsonville stated, while offering the bishops' "assistance and cooperation on these urgent matters of human life and dignity."

The group Jesuit Refugee Services also praised the executive actions.

"The US can lead a comprehensive migration policy and protect the human rights of forcibly displaced persons and refugees in the Americas region," said Monica Gomez, advocacy officer for Jesuit Refugee Service LAC.

"The entire continent is facing profound challenges of forced migration, which require democratic changes in countries of origin and greater support for cooperation in countries of transit and destination," Gomez said.

Catholic Charities appears to be involved in what some say is the largest illegal alien immigration scheme in US history. Ever wonder why U.S. Bishops are such strong supporters of illegal immigration? Because the Bishops are receiving millions of dollars from the U.S. government to assist in resettling illegal immigrants.

Now come video evidence which raises the question of whether Catholic Charities is also somehow engaged in the trafficking children.

TAKE ACTION: Contact your bishop and ask ask him to demand an independent formal investigation into the potentially illegal activities of Catholic Charities.

Texas residents should also call Attorney General Ken Paxton at 512-463-2100 to request a state investigation.

QuoteThe Catholic Church and Illegal Immigration

At the age of 40, I converted to Catholicism. A friend of mine at the time, also Catholic, told me her rule when entering the confessional booth: "Be brief, be blunt, and be gone."

I'll be following that advice about brevity and bluntness in this column.

Most readers know of the sexual scandals of some Catholic clergy. But the Catholic Church is involved in another scandal that may be unfamiliar to most Americans, including many of the faithful.

Certain organizations in the Church, including the Vatican, are assisting in the ongoing invasion of the United States by illegal immigrants.

In an article entitled "Illegal Immigrant Caravans and Criminal Catholics," long-time opponent of illegal immigration Michelle Malkin – who is also Catholic – reveals the extent to which Church organizations are aiding and abetting the caravans of illegal immigrants.

That complicity starts at the top. As Malkin points out, Pope Francis "donated $500,000 nine months ago from his Peter's Pence fund to assist illegal immigrant caravan participants." Malkin then proceeds to list some of the religious orders participating in this attack on American sovereignty – the Franciscans, the Jesuits, the Scalabrinians – along with naming some of the safe houses they operate.

This month another caravan of several hundred people is attempting to pass through Mexico and into the United States. Mexican authorities and police are achieving some success in turning these illegal immigrants back toward home. Meanwhile, however, Bishop Jaime Calderón Calderón of Tapachula, Mexico pledged aid to what Malkin calls "the newest wave of border-jumpers and river-crossers."

We might have some sympathy for these migrants were they fleeing their native lands out of fear of violence. But as Malkin points out, a 2016 poll of 3,200 Guatemalan households in the United States found that 91 percent had migrated here for economic reasons – jobs, boosts in income, a better life financially.

Here's the real stunner from Makin's article:
"It's all about the dinero. Central American workers, legal and illegal, sent back nearly $20 billion in remittances to their home countries in 2018, a tidy sum of which will end up back in Catholic collection plates. Remittances sent to El Salvador are now equal to 20% of its GDP; Guatemala, 11%; and Honduras, 18.8%. Meanwhile, the percentage of the population of Guatemala now living in the U.S. is close to 7%; for El Salvador, the percentage now stands at 22%; and for Honduras, we now have absorbed 9.2% of their people.
The governments of Central America have an obvious economic interest in encouraging this illegal immigration, which Malkin describes as a "deliberately orchestrated, relentlessly executed, slow-motion criminal invasion."

Michelle Malkin has become a controversial figure, accused of racism – despite being Filipino herself – for her support of certain right-wing groups. I know little about her or her ongoing feud with her conservative critics. Is she a racist? I have no idea.

But because some people smear as a racist anyone who advocates for stricter border control, I suppose I'll have to add that tag to my own list of disreputable labels. Given the frequency and ease with which some throw out the R-word, I'll be in the company of various Americans ranging from Donald Trump to Nancy Pelosi.

As others have said many times, a country without borders will eventually be no country at all.
Instead of helping others break the law, isn't it about time these Catholic religious organizations that promote illegal immigration devote themselves instead to the problems of poverty, lack of education and health care, and unemployment in the region where these immigrants live?

The Vatican is killing at least two birds with one stone by supporting all this illegal and legal immigration. Diluting the nation with voters likely to be more sympathetic to Rome's political agendas over and above the Protestant principles of freedom and liberty this nation was built upon. And successfully redistributing the wealth of this nation to those more of her own, as she has stated she does. Both of these processes having been carried out for a long time many times over already, among many other papal supported life blood draining policies within our nation. The weight of which we have been and will continue to be crushed underneath, until this country which once stood in the way of her evil self exalting nature, completely collapses due to the implementation of the same. Nevertheless, her end will come as God has purposed.

Rev 18:1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. 2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. 3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. 4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. 5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. 6 Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double. 7 How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. 8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.

QuotePentagon, ICE Admit They're Secretly Transporting Illegal Immigrants Across Country

Earlier this year, the Biden administration initially sought to hide what the conditions at some of its detention centers were like, barring media from accessing the facilities and reporting on the humanitarian crisis at the border. The media blackout angered those on the Left and Right, given the administration vowed to be transparent in all matters. After increasing pressure, reporters were finally allowed to enter, and what they discovered was a "humanitarian and public health crisis," according to Sen. Ted Cruz. But that's not all the administration tried hiding about the border crisis.

The Department of Homeland Security is using a military air force base to secretly transfer illegal immigrants across the country.

Fox News's Tucker Carlson received from a whistleblower a leaked email from Air Force Lt. Col. Matthew Burrows detailing the arrangement to subordinates.

"Over the next few days, weeks, or months you may see passenger aircraft on our ramp transporting undocumented non-citizens," the email says. "In coordination with the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Defense, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Del Rio Border Patrol will be using the Laughlin AFB runway to transport undocumented non-citizens via a Boeing 747."

The email advises against taking pictures or posting about the situation on social media. "If anyone asks you about it, refer them to public affairs," the email states.

The Pentagon confirmed the email's authenticity to Carlson's show, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement also released a statement.

"On June 17, 2021, a Memorandum of Agreement, or MOA, between DHS and DOD was signed by all parties and finalized," the statement reads. "On June 29, 2021, ICE Air Operations utilized Laughlin Air Force Base for the first time, pursuant to the MOA, to transport non-citizens from CBP custody to ICE custody. Since June 29, approximately 780 non-citizens were transferred via ICE Air on six ICE Air flights."

The statement continues: "Collaboration with federal partners enables ICE to transfer non-citizens safely and humanely to ICE field offices where the appropriate level of custody and supervision will be determined. ICE Air conducts southwest border flights which involve the transfer of migrants from CBP custody to ICE custody."
Rather than clear things up, Carlson said ICE's statement raised even more questions.

"What other military resources are being used to conduct this, an operation that most Americans knew nothing about, that they did not consent to, that Congress never voted on, and which is clearly illegal?" the Fox News host wondered.

"Where are these people going? They are being moved to another form of custody, and then their fate will be determined, but where did they end up? Into what communities were they placed? How many federal dollars were spent doing this? Did the people into whose neighborhood they were placed have any say in it at all?"
The Biden administration is using the US military to transport illegal immigrants across the country and they're asking soldiers to keep it a secret. This is a violation of their oath to our nation.

QuotePlaneloads of Illegal Immigrant Minors Relocated Around U.S. in Middle of the Night

In an apparent effort to avoid public scrutiny, the Biden administration is transporting planeloads of illegal immigrant minors in the middle of the night then busing them to cities in the southeast. Even members of Congress representing the impacted districts are being kept in the dark about the covert operations and the Department of Defense (DOD) is contracting big tour buses to move the migrants to nearby states once they land, presumably from the southern border region. The alarming details are featured in a well-sourced news report broadcast by a Tennessee media outlet this week. The segment—and accompanying article—features videos of planes arriving at a Chattanooga private jet terminal called Wilson Air Center. Adolescents who appear to be in their early teens are seen deboarding the planes carrying matching bags then boarding large tour busses parked on the runway.

One of the planes landed around 1:30 a.m. on a Friday, the news story says, and the other late Saturday night. A third plane arrived at the Chattanooga facility on a Friday afternoon and a fourth early Wednesday morning, according to flight records obtained by reporters. The illegal alien teens, officially coined Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC) by the government, are seen boarding large buses owned by Coast-to-Coast Tours of East Point, Georgia. An employee of the company said the buses were dispatched to Chattanooga as part of a contract with the DOD. "The employee says this was the first time the company had been asked to pick up migrant children in Chattanooga," the article states, adding that "in the past, the company's drivers have traveled to Mobile, Alabama, and Atlanta to transport children." The source confirms that two buses seen on the news video left Chattanooga for Miami, Florida and Dallas, Texas. Three to four chaperones accompanied the UAC because the bus company requires it when underaged passengers are on board.

Approximately 30 to 50 UAC are transported on each bus, according to a source with direct knowledge of the operation. Some get reunited with family members and others go to taxpayer-funded group homes. The source says in the news story that the operation began in Dallas but was recently moved to small airports to "avoid attention." Wilson Air Center fits the bill. It is a Fixed-Base Operator (FBO), a private jet facility, with an executive terminal, 120,000 square feet of hangar space and a multitude of other amenities. The company provides corporate aviation support services in four cities, including Chattanooga. "At Wilson Air Center, hospitality is the rule, not the exception," its website states. "No matter which location you visit, Charlotte, Memphis, Houston or Chattanooga, you can be sure you'll receive world-class FBO and aviation services delivered with our award-winning attitude!" The company claims to be an industry leader for its unmatched approach to customer service and satisfaction.

Unfortunately, the American public cannot obtain details about the arrangement. The Tennessee media outlet was given the runaround and various members of Congress are quoted saying they have no information about the operations. A DOD spokesman, Lieutenant Colonel Chris Mitchell, says in the story that the flights were facilitated by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). "The only support DoD is providing with respect to the unaccompanied minors is land and facilities for HHS to temporarily house them," Mitchell says in the piece. HHS never returned the news outlet's call seeking information on the secret operations. Last month the agency confirmed a group of UAC were being housed at a former Tennessee Temple dormitory in Highland Park.

HHS is responsible for UAC and currently has a record 22,264 in its care, according to the latest government figures. The agency provides the illegal immigrant minors with an array of services, including classroom education, mental and medical healthcare, legal counsel, and a variety of recreational activities. The overwhelming majority of the migrants—72%—are not children but rather young adults or adolescents 15 to 17 years old, government records show. Most of the youths are from Guatemala and Honduras and 68% are male, which has tremendously boosted gang recruitment in this country. Federal authorities have for years confirmed that the nation's most violent street gangs—including the Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13)—recruit new members at U.S. shelters housing UAC.

Quote'Not enough seats': Buses leaving Texas border town packed with illegal migrants

Buses leaving the Texas city at the heart of the border crisis are struggling to keep up with business — because they're full of illegal immigrants released into the US by overwhelmed Border Patrol agents, The Post has learned.

Since the crisis erupted following President Biden's election, the four bus companies that operate out of the Central Station bus terminal in McAllen, Texas, have added as many as six daily routes, totaling 250 seats — but it's still not enough, City Manager Roy Rodriguez said.

"We don't have enough private bus seats to get everyone out," Rodriguez told The Post.

The demand for tickets out of town is at a "record" high, with "most, if not all" of the recent increase coming from migrants who were caught crossing the border illegally and released pending future court appearances, Rodriguez said, citing information pulled together by McAllen Transit Director Mario Delgado.

"All seats are already purchased for tomorrow," Rodriguez said Wednesday.

"So, if somebody wants to buy a bus fare to head north, they have to wait two days."

Central Station has also seen a 50 percent surge in the number of passengers hanging around and waiting to leave, he said, adding, "That's substantial because we're a pretty busy bus station to begin with."

A spokesperson for Greyhound Lines — the country's largest bus company and one of the four that provide service to and from McAllen — acknowledged a spike in demand for travel from the southern border since March and said that "some of the increase can be attributed to migrant travel."

Greyhound hasn't received any federal help to expand its operations, the company said, but "would welcome assistance from the government as we continue to work diligently to provide travel support to migrant families.

"While it is not Greyhound's responsibility to specifically transport migrants, Greyhound strives to treat all passengers with dignity," the spokesperson added.

Representatives for three other carriers — Trailways, Tornado Bus Co. and El Expreso Bus Co. — didn't respond to inquiries.

McAllen is located in the Rio Grande Valley, one of nine regions in the Border Patrol's southern jurisdiction, which has seen more illegal immigration than any other, with 260,000 migrants stopped there since Feb. 1, according to federal data.

Nearly half of the migrants were in family groups, the statistics show.

Once caught by Border Patrol agents, they are processed and then sent to a government-run, coronavirus-testing site across from the bus terminal.

After being tested, the migrants are escorted to a nearby center run by Catholic Charities, where they stay for an average of 24 hours while making arrangements to travel further into the US.

The center now accommodates a record average of 7,000 people a week, with about half leaving by bus and the rest by airplane, Rodriguez said.

Although migrants are supposed to be released from custody with a manila envelope containing instructions on when and where they're supposed to appear in federal immigration court, the Department of Homeland Security acknowledged earlier this year that doesn't always happen.

"In some cases, families are placed in removal proceedings further along in the release process rather than while they are at the border patrol station," DHS said in late March.

Rodriguez said McAllen has no choice but to deal with the influx and praised the assistance provided by Catholic Charities, saying, "Thank God for them because I don't know where we'd be without them."

"We're continuing to attempt to ensure that everyone is tested so that anyone is removed from the line, whether it be the bus or the airplane, and that's the best that they can do," he said.

"These folks are not coming across to stay here and therefore we've got to provide them [a way] to where they're headed."

Surprise surprise, the Catholic Church is one of the main financiers, and facilitators of flying illegals around our country. Helping them work around the law, and the TSA to board jets before anyone else bypassing the processes all the rest of us American citizens must go through in air ports. If the news caster had not asked specifically who the non profits were financing and facilitating this, no one would ever know. MSM hides so very much the Catholic Church is involved in. Nor will they ever make the connection between Biden and the rest of the numerous Catholic politicians who have been facilitating these illegals for decades now, or the interference they cause to prevent anything form ever being done about it. It is literally a foreign invasion facilitated by the Monarch of a foreign nation.

https://www.history.com/topics/religion/vatican-city

Quote below from link above.

QuotePopes traditionally held power over regional territories known as the Papal States until 1870, when the unified Italian government claimed virtually all of the land outside of the city walls. A standoff between the church and secular government ensued for the next 60 years, until an agreement reached with the Lateran Pacts in February 1929. Signed by Benito Mussolini on behalf of King Victor Emmanuel III, the pacts established Vatican City as a sovereign entity distinct from the Holy See, and granted the church $92 million as compensation for the loss of the Papal States.

The Vatican remains the home of the pope and the Roman Curia, and the spiritual center for some 1.2 billion followers of the Catholic Church. The world's smallest independent nation-state, it covers 109 acres within a 2-mile border, and possesses another 160 acres of holdings in remote locations. Along with the centuries-old buildings and gardens, the Vatican maintains its own banking and telephone systems, post office, pharmacy, newspaper, and radio and television stations. Its 600 citizens include the members of the Swiss Guard, a security detail charged with protecting the pope since 1506.

This little nation state entertains ambassadors from virtually every nation on earth, has a permanent seat at the UN, and over a billion adherents the world over. Which adherents are commanded by their monarch to subvert any and all policies, peoples, Constitutions, and laws, which contradict her own from within said nations. Roman Catholics who would remain faithful to the Vatican and Pope are literally citizens of a foreign nation within every nation they occupy, who are called to establish Roman Catholic social justice and more where ever they are. BABYLON must do her work, and make the nations drunk with her wine.

Quoted article below, from link above.

Quote'Betraying the American people': Leaked video reveals Joe Biden's 'hush hush' migrant invasion

While Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi go all out to protect Ukraine's national sovereignty, at the same time they are orchestrating a clandestine invasion of America across the southern border.

Two million illegal immigrants from dozens of countries crossed over from Mexico last year, and the Biden administration is facilitating the cartels' people-smuggling operation — at taxpayer expense.

Under cover of darkness, every night the federal government is transporting illegal migrants as fast as it can away from the border on secret charter flights into unsuspecting communities around the country. Officials have lied and obstructed the few journalists who have tried to reveal the truth.

This is nothing short of a betrayal of the American people.

And that's not just me saying it — those are exactly the words of one federal government contractor employed to transport migrants from the southern border to the airport in White Plains.

"The government is betraying the American people," the contractor told a Westchester County police officer in a conversation that was recorded on the cop's bodycam on the tarmac of the county airport on Aug. 13, 2021. The men were standing beside a Boeing 737 flown in from Fort Bliss, Texas, by iAero Airways under charter by the federal government.

Damning footage

The 51-minute footage was obtained under a Freedom of Information Act request by former Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino, a Republican candidate for governor in 2022.

Throughout the footage, police Sgt. Michael Hamborsky expresses frustration that local police have been given no information about the flights arriving after curfew at the airport, in breach of security protocols.

"You're on a secure facility here; we really don't know anything and we're in charge of security," he tells one of the federal contractors.

"This is anti all our security stuff."

The iAero flight that so puzzled Hamborsky that night was just one of the almost nightly charter flights that began shuttling migrants into the suburban Westchester airport after curfew from places like McAllen, El Paso and Houston, Texas, last year beginning at least as far back as Aug. 8. The flights stopped only after The Post revealed their existence in late October.

The bodycam footage shows Hamborsky courteously but persistently questioning a dozen federal contractors who are bustling around the tarmac overseeing migrants disembarking and boarding American Dream charter buses waiting on the tarmac between about 6:15 and 7 a.m.

Hamborsky ascertains that the plane arrived at 11:48 p.m. the previous night with 142 migrants on board.

Also on board were 12 "chaperones" — employees of MVM Inc., a controversial private security firm that was a major contractor for the CIA and the NSA in Iraq, and which last year signed a $136 million contract with the federal government to transport illegal migrants and unaccompanied children around the country.

The bodycam begins in the pre-dawn darkness at 6:09 a.m. when Hamborsky parks his squad car on the airfield next to the hangar of Ross Aviation, whose employees are assisting with refueling the plane.

Hamborsky asks to see the ID of the MVM contractors.

"I can give you my state ID," replies one man, "but work IDs we're not allowed to."

Hamborsky tells the contractors: "I'm just trying to figure out what's what, who's who and how I'm supposed to keep this secure."

The contractors start giving him the lanyards from around their necks.

One says: "We're not allowed to have our picture taken when we get on base."

"Un-f–king-believable," Hamborsky replies. "And who's that by? DHS [Department of Homeland Security]?"

"Yes, and the United States Army," is the reply. "You're on a federal installation but DHS wants everything on the down-low."

Hamborsky asks another contractor why they come to a small airport like Westchester.

"You don't want to be in somewhere the spotlight is," is the reply. "You want to try and be as down-low as possible. A lot of this is just down-low stuff that we don't tell people because what we don't want to do is attract attention. We don't want the media. Like we don't even know where we're going when they tell us."

Another contractor tells Hamborsky: "Listen, my thing is I like to comply but technically we're not supposed to show IDs or anything. Like I said, everything is supposed to be hush-hush."

Hamborsky replies, with good-natured but mounting exasperation: "And if you don't, I could just not let you out ...

"I don't care if it's military or not ... we gotta know who people are. The way TSA [the federal Transportation Security Administration] works is we're supposed to have a certain designated number [of passengers] for each chaperone. Well, there's 60 kids out here and there's two guys.

"Two [migrants] grab their bags out here and next thing you know we could be playing tag all night.

"I have to take my shoes off when I get on a plane. These guys are grabbing their bags and getting on buses."

One of the bus drivers waiting for his migrant passengers to board tells Hamborsky he has no idea of his destination.

"They didn't tell you where it's going?" asks the cop.

The driver replies: "They never do."

Security problem

Hamborsky learns from one of the MVM contractors that Delaware and Virginia are two destinations. Later he is told two more buses are heading for Madison, NJ, with one continuing to Maryland.

"You're trying to figure out what this is?" asks one of the bus drivers. "Good luck with that."

Hamborsky replies: "You're on a secure facility here and we don't really know anything and we're in charge of security. Hence why we're having a problem here."

The driver sympathizes: "Yeah ... I used to pick up basketball teams that have more security."

"One hundred percent," agrees Hamborsky. "We still don't know really what's happening, how they're getting here."

Meanwhile, in the background, migrants can be seen picking up identical bags laid out on the tarmac and heading toward buses. Most look to be in their middle to late teens, although there are a few older adult males. They can be heard speaking Spanish.

The drivers say usually the buses are waiting when the migrant flights arrive. But this night, "someone dropped the ball."

One says his boss rang him "in a panic" at 12:24 a.m., saying "we need four buses right away."

"We're a family-owned business," explains one driver. "We're subcontractors of a government contractor ... It's one of those things you can't turn down because once you sign the contract, you're a slave to the grind."

Later in the bodycam recording, a contractor tells Hamborsky: "I get the whole secrecy and all that s–t but this is even above my f–king pay grade ... the f- -k, you know what I mean?"

Hamborsky replies: "And why? You know why?"

The contractor replies: "You know why, look who's in office. That's why, come on."

Hamborsky says: "But what's the big secret?"

Contractor: "You know why. Because if this gets out, the government is betraying the American people."

He knows. Everyone knows that Americans don't want their country to be invaded by millions of illegal migrants. Hence the secrecy and lies from the Biden administration.

Papal puppets Biden, Pelosi, and many others, dancing the marionette dance of the Pope and Vatican. BABYLON THE GREAT, ever increasingly steering the reins of the global beast she rides.

Rev 17:1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: 2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. 3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. 4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: 5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

QuoteCatholicVote files suit to get information on Catholic agencies 'facilitating a record surge in illegal immigration'

WASHINGTON (CNS) -- CatholicVote, an independent political advocacy group, has filed a lawsuit against the Biden administration seeking information about how the government and church-affiliated groups, mainly in the Diocese of Brownsville, Texas, have gone about "facilitating a record surge in illegal immigration."

The lawsuit was filed under the Freedom of Information Act Feb. 4 with Judicial Watch.

The suit said the organizations want records of communication between administration officials and the Diocese of Brownsville; Bishop Daniel E. Flores, who heads the diocese; Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley; Sister Norma Pimentel, "in her capacity as the executive director of the local Catholic Charities; and the Humanitarian Respite Center in McAllen, Texas, which Sister Pimentel is known for administrating.

A Feb. 9 email said CatholicVote was "demanding transparency from the federal government and to know whether and how it has funded and coordinated with Catholic-affiliated charities in facilitating a record surge in illegal immigration."

A news release issued the same day by the Wisconsin-based group said the administration has refused to provide information on its communication with the Catholic-affiliated border charities mentioned in the suit.

Judicial Watch is a Washington-based activist group that files FOIA lawsuits to investigate government officials' conduct.

"American Catholics deserve to know the full extent of the U.S. government's role in funding and coordinating with Catholic Church-affiliated agencies at the border, and what role these agencies played in the record surge of illegal immigrants over the past year," Brian Burch, president of CatholicVote, said in a statement.

"We will do whatever is necessary to uncover the truth," he said.

The Catholic faith tradition, because of its long and noted history of being forced to be on the move, provides programs throughout the world to welcome and accompany those who are forced to leave their homelands. It's a position historically backed by the work of U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops as well as Catholic groups in the U.S. and around the world.

CatholicVote also said it was seeking "all communications" between the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol and the USCCB as they pertain to Sister Pimentel, the respite center and the Catholic Charities agency with which she is affiliated.

Sister Pimentel, a member of the Missionaries of Jesus, has received praise, including from Pope Francis, for her work with migrants under the auspices of the Brownsville Diocese, which helps those who cross into the U.S. near the McAllen and Brownsville area at the respite center, close to the U.S.-Mexico border.

On Feb. 10, Fox News reported that Republican Congressman Lance Gooden, of Texas, had sent the network a letter in which he questioned Catholic organizations about their role at the border and accused them of helping fuel problems at the southern border.

Fox said Gooden had written to several faith-based nonprofits, also called nongovernmental organizations or NGOs, including Catholic Charities USA, about retaining "any relevant documents and communications related to encouraging, transporting and harboring aliens to come to, enter or reside in the United States, needed for future oversight or legislative requests from the United States Congress."

"I am troubled by the growing role NGOs have in fueling the drastic increase in illegal immigration across our southern border and throughout the country," Fox said, quoting an email the congressman sent to the network.

The congressman's letter also was sent to the faith-based groups Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service and Jewish Family Services. Both organizations also help migrants.

Catholic Charities Involved in Largest Illegal Alien Invasion in US History

Catholic Charities is the largest NGO (non-governmental organization) involved in the trafficking of illegal aliens on both sides of the border. Catholic Charities receives millions of dollars in federal grants to essentially operationalizes Biden's illegal alien invasion strategy.

Lots of videos at the link documenting the invasion between the above statement, and the call to action below.

QuoteCatholic Charities Met Abbott's Bused Migrants with Tickets to Ride Elsewhere

Neil W. McCabe, the national political editor of The Star News Network, reports from Washington's Union Station, where Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott sent migrants who crossed the border into his state.

A social worker from the Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington told The Star News Network that she and other staffers from Catholic Charities, including Monsignor John Enzler, the local president provided the migrants with food, clothing, diapers and toys – and tickets to their requested destinations.

Some of the migrants went to New York City, others went to Rhode Island, New Jersey, and Miami.

McCabe: Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott has begun busing migrants from the Lone Star state to here in Washington, where they were dropped off at Union Station behind me. Roselle Velez, who is a social worker with Catholic Charities, told The Star News Network why Catholic Charities was there.

Roselle Velez: I got here, they were here already. They were waiting at the food court. We have the sisters and Father John was also here as well. So everyone from Catholic Charities in D.C., they were here and they greeted them, they fed them.

McCabe: Abbott directed his Division of Emergency Management to bust border migrants who volunteered to Washington April 6 as a protest against President Joe Biden's open border policies.

McCabe: Velez said she helped translate for the migrants, including one mother with two children.

Velez: They are from Venezuela. The mother had a 5-year-old son and a 1-year-old daughter. They didn't have any clothes. They just have the clothes that they came with.

So Catholic Charities got them some clothing, diapers and baby wipes and milk, and toys. Even toys for them, too, so they could just have some toys while they are just going through this transition.

McCabe: If Abbott expected Washington to share the migrant burden Texas now shoulders, he was wrong. After a short rest stop, Catholic Charities sent the migrants on their way elsewhere.

Velez: So there is a group going to New York City, they're on the way now. There's one who's going to Rhode Island, there's another one who's going to Miami. There's another group going to Miami, and they are heading there as well. There's another bus.

McCabe: Their stop in D.C. was not a total loss. At least the migrants got to see how Americans live two blocks from the Capitol. Reporting for The Star News Network, Neil W. McCabe, Washington.

As I have documented on these boards before, the Catholic church is running this migration invasion from start to finish. They promote it, take care of the immigrants along their way to our border, get them in, and place them where they want them. Today they boldly do this with the aid of our now second Catholic President flying them where they want on our tax dollars. No doubt most of this if not all of it is on our tax dollars, as Rome receives tens of billions from our government every year. This is nothing short of an invasion and a war against this nation and its founding principles. As so much else, it should be and should have been headline news for a long time now, but gets placed far in the background by Jesuit owned, or influenced mainstream media. Same old, same old. Those who will not face up to who their real enemies are, will be subjugated by the same. So here we are on the many roads which lead to Rome, or the highway to hell, not much difference.

https://catholicvote.org/talking-to-catholics-about-gov-abbotts-refugee-ban/

Quoted article below from link above. Emphasis is mine.

QuoteTalking to Catholics about Gov. Abbott's 'Refugee Ban'

Earlier this month, Texas became the first state to opt out of federal refugee resettlement programs under President Trump's 2019 executive order intended to make the programs dependent on the consent of each state.

A federal judge quickly ruled against Texas, but in the interim there has been a widespread outcry against Texas Governor Greg Abbott.

A Dallas News piece accused Abbott of making the great State of Texas "look small and mean." Democrats and immigration nonprofit leaders called his decision "shameful," and issued frenzied warnings that "immigrants are under attack." On social media, celebrities weighed in just as stridently.

Amid this outpouring of heated rhetoric, Catholic bishops have weighed in as well. As one CNN headline blared: "Every Catholic bishop in Texas is slamming Gov. Abbott's decision to bar refugees."

But neither the headlines nor many of the bishops' public statements mentioned that Abbott, a Catholic himself, intended the so-called "ban" on refugees to be temporary, to work to the benefit of both migrants and native Texans, and not to be prohibitive of refugees resettling in the U.S.

Abbott is Addressing a Real Crisis, not a Partisan Debate

When Abbott first made the decision, he briefly explained it in a letter to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

Abbot made clear that the move would only pause refugee resettlements for the duration of fiscal year 2020, and was not intended as an exclusionary, or "anti-immigrant" measure.

In fact, he cited concern for recently-resettled refugees as one of the considerations that led to his decision.

"At this time, the state and non-profit organizations have a responsibility to dedicate available resources to those who are already here," he wrote, "including refugees, migrants, and the homeless—indeed, all Texans:

"As a result, Texas cannot consent to initial refugee resettlement for FY2020. This decision does not deny any refugee access to the United States. Nor does it preclude a refugee from later coming to Texas after initially settling in another state."

As virtually every American media outlet acknowledged, the U.S. immigration system has been flooded in the past two years with unprecedented numbers crossing the southern border and claiming refugee status.

The numbers are so overwhelming that the U.S. immigration court system is already backlogged with hundreds of thousands of cases awaiting hearings. Desperate migrants find themselves homeless and destitute, as private, State, and Federal relief workers struggle to keep up. Some new arrivals are even living in need of such basic necessities as water.

Nowhere have these conditions been more pronounced than in the State of Texas. So it can really come as no surprise to any honest journalist who has covered the events of the past two years that Gov. Abbott would feel the need to consider even drastic measures to get the situation under control.

In his letter, Abbot also pointed out that "Texas is one of the most welcoming states for refugees seeking to escape dangers abroad," and that the state has actually received more refugees than any other in the past ten years:

In fact, over that decade, roughly 10% of all refugees resettled in the United States have been placed in Texas. Even today, the process of resettling continues for many of these refugees. In addition to accepting refugees all these years, Texas has been left by Congress to deal with disproportionate migration issues resulting from a broken federal immigration system. ... Texas continues to have to deal with the consequences of an immigration system that Congress has failed to fix.

Rather than dismissing the real needs of refugees and migrants, Abbott seems to be trying to counterbalance their valid interests with those of the State he governs, as well as those of America at large, which is currently wrestling with how best to address an immigration system that leaders in both major parties have acknowledged to be overdue for reform.

Abbott's Catholicism

Given President Trump's executive order granting State governments the right to regulate their own refugee resettlements, there is no doubt that Abbott is within his rights as a governor to tackle these issues.

But in light of the fact that many of Abbott's detractors have gone so far as to question his personal faith, it seems only fair to also mention that he is also within his rights as a Catholic.

As the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) has stated, Catholic social teaching outlines the duties of public officials like Gov. Abbott toward migrants and citizens.

"The Catholic Catechism instructs the faithful that good government has two duties, both of which must be carried out and neither of which can be ignored,"
according to a USCCB document from some years ago:

"The first duty is to welcome the foreigner out of charity and respect for the human person. ... The second duty is to secure one's border and enforce the law for the sake of the common good. Sovereign nations have the right to enforce their laws and all persons must respect the legitimate exercise of this right: 'Political authorities, for the sake of the common good for which they are responsible may make the exercise of the right to immigrate subject to various juridical conditions, especially with regard to the immigrants' duties toward their country of adoption. Immigrants are obliged to respect with gratitude the material and spiritual heritage of the country that receives them, to obey its laws and to assist in carrying civic burdens.' Catholic Catechism, 2241."

In other words, the Church's teachings require just the sort of careful balancing of interests that Abbott seems to be pursuing in his letter to the Secretary of State.

Talking to Catholics in the Pews

The media, and some Catholic leaders under pressure and scrutiny in the midst of a media firestorm, are in danger of letting the anti-Abbott, "refugee ban" narrative spiral out of control. And it can only bring more heat than light to an already hotly-contested and murky issue.

But it's worth noting that, as reported in the Texas Tribune last week, ordinary Catholics in the pews do not tend to be so one-sided on the contentious issues surrounding migration and refugee resettlement. In fact, Texas Catholics are split on such questions.

Instead of loud, reflexive denunciations and media-driven furor, these Catholics would be better served by an honest and charitable consideration of their governor's own reasoning, together with an assessment of the interests of migrants and refugees and, of course, a review of the Church's perennial teachings on the duties of states toward the vulnerable.

Yes, definitely just Jesuit theater, the acting performed by Gov. Abbot. A faithful son of his church, placing Catholic doctrine and social teaching before his state to nation. A perfect example of how the Vatican undermines the wishes and intentions of peoples and nations the world over, unto subjugation of her globalist agenda. Nothing to see here, move along.

Catholic League president Bill Donohue comments on Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene:

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene gave an interview on April 21 to Michael Voris, the head of Church Militant, wherein they discussed the role of Catholic Charities assisting illegal aliens. She had plenty of opportunities to make rational criticisms of the agency, but instead she slandered the entire Catholic Church.

"I thought we had a separation of church and state, right? No, what it is, is Satan's controlling the church."

Satan is controlling the Catholic Church? She needs to apologize to Catholics immediately. She is a disgrace.

Article below which is a little dated, but even more pertinent than when written, is form link above.

QuoteGlobalist Pope Francis' Marxist Program to End All Sovereign Nations.

Our Globalist Pope leads the attack on all National Sovereignty to bring an end to all national borders in favor of Total Global Disorder, ostensibly for the good of the Planet and the Poor.

We have spoken of Pope Francis' obvious Marxism among the Papal Imperfections Pages, among other places.  His unfailing support of Marxism's total global agenda leads to one possible conclusion, that he may actually be a Radical Marxist Revolutionary in deep disguise.  Or, of course, he could be stupid; a mere Marxist Useful Idiot.  Or something somewhere in between, like a Progressive.

Whatever he is, he opposes national sovereignty and the right of nations to have borders and rules of entry.  And, whether he believes it or not, he fervently supports the Marxist-Globalist-driven Climate Change hoax aimed at all nations subordinating themselves to Global Governance, for the good of the planet.

(And for the good of Globalism.)

Without naming names, specifically without naming President Trump, Pope Francis has embarked on a program directly opposing anti-illegal immigration "Right Wing Populism" in all sovereign nations with borders.  He wants all nations to allow floods of un-vetted, undocumented, aliens to enter their borders without restriction.

No need to apply for immigration papers at any embassy, no need for any immigration papers, no need to do anything the law requires in any nation, or even to enter through the appropriate entry points.  Just flood right on in, from any point on any border.  And bring your Marxism and/or your Islamism with you, right on into your new host country.

Lots of Cardinals, Bishops and Priests have jumped on Francis' Globalist bandwagon and are welcoming criminal aliens with open arms, all over America.  Publishing foreign language lists of "rights" for them to learn and take advantage of, as if they were citizens with citizen's rights, and not criminal aliens at all.

The Washington Post reports on How Francis is Leading the Catholic Church against the anti-Globalist notion of Nationhood.  There you can read about how high ranking American Catholic clerics ware working feverishly to destroy American sovereignty, in the name of the Poor.

Right.

It's really in the name of Globalism, and in the name of the ruler of the Globe.

This is not merely opposition to America.  It is opposition to true Justice, in the name of Marxist Social Justice, and in the promotion of National Suicidal Diversity, in the promotion of Global Class Warfare, and in direct opposition to the unique American civil rights to Equality, Life, Liberty and Property.

We can understand, if not forgive, Pope Francis's Marxism since he was born and raised under Socialism.  But for American clerics to be pushing all this treason against America and promoting condemned Marxism over Catholicism is shocking.  How did they learn to hate America so?  How did they come to support worldly Globalist-Communist Utopian ideals over Catholicism?

The question applies to them as well as to the Pope:

Are they stupid, or are they evil?

Who am I to judge?

Evil or stupid? Not stupid. Just as stupid is as stupid does, so evil is, as evil does.

Been a while since I posted on this thread. The article below is from the link above. The Vatican is busy supporting illegal immigration in other countries as well, toward her ultimate goal. Emphasis is mine.

QuoteVATICAN BACKS SPAIN'S MARXISTS ON ILLEGALS

VATICAN CITY (ChurchMilitant.com) - The Vatican is urging regularization of 600,000 illegal immigrants following a manifesto by Spain's far-left parties.

On Wednesday, Fr. Fabio Baggio, the Holy See's Undersecretary for Migrants and Refugees, railed against the post-pandemic "new protectionism" created by countries wanting to "favor their nationals."

Addressing the VI Forum on Migration and Human Mobility convened by the Episcopal Commission on Migration, Baggio warned of "massive migratory flows arising from the desire of the people to seek a solution to economic problems."

"There are thousands of migrant workers who have had to return to their land, lost their jobs, stopped sending remittances to their families, and that's why we have families in crisis and entire nations that are facing returnee crises and do not know how to act," Baggio said.

"The pandemic has affected all people, yes, but the most vulnerable in a more particular way," he lamented.

"In the Vatican Commission that the Pope has constituted for COVID-19, and to which I also belong, we are convinced that this crisis constitutes an opportunity, a kairos, to change the system," the Scalabrinian priest remarked.

Criticizing the current global economic and social system as flawed, "especially where discriminations and asymmetries in the access and distribution of resources are more evident," Baggio said that the pandemic was an "opportunity to change the system and propose new economic systems" to "restart another idea of society and another idea of a world system."

On July 8, Spain's far-left coalition Unidas Podemos (United We Can), comprising Podemos, United Left and other left-wing parties, issued a manifesto titled "Heroes of COVID-19 and End of Irregularity" describing foreign nationals who worked in Spain during the pandemic as "heroes."

"We think it is decent, it is fair and it is patriotic to recognize all these heroes as compatriots and who can, therefore, have extraordinary access to Spanish nationality," the statement announced in the Congress of Deputies, Spain's lower house of Parliament.

They referred specifically to 600,000 migrants "who were on Spanish soil" when the Wuhan virus emergency was declared.

It is "the right decision also from the health and economic point of view," since "the continuity of the irregularity would put at risk not only the health of these people but also that of all citizens," Unidas Podemos stated.

Podemos, the main party in the leftist alliance, is headed by Pablo Iglesias, who is listed by George Soros' Open Society Foundations' non-governmental organization as a "reliable ally."

Iglesias, a 35-year-old professor of political science at Complutense University of Madrid, has been described as "the Marxist icon that could only happen to Spain."

"I consider myself a Marxist. Let us say that behind the theoretical implications and those of Podemos, there is a very specific interpretation of Gramsci," Iglesias revealed.

Italian Marxist philosopher and communist politician Antonio Gramsci is best known for his theory of cultural hegemony and is hailed as "the godfather of cultural Marxism" and "identity politics."

Calls for Migrant Amnesty

Following Fr. Baggio's endorsement of "mass regularization," Pablo Echenique, spokesman for Unidas Podemos, sent a tweet to the center-right Partido Popular and the nationalist Vox Party urging them as Catholics to heed the Vatican's call for migrant amnesty.

Spain's immigration law was amended four times between 2000 and 2004, and four regularization processes were implemented. A further 600,000 immigrants underwent a regularization process in 2005.

Muslims from Morocco constitute the largest group of immigrants in the traditionally Catholic country. Moroccans are Spain's second-largest minority.

Headed by Pope Francis, the Migrants and Refugees Section helps the Church to accompany refugees, those who are forced to migrate or victims of human trafficking.

The migrant section is part of the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development created by Pope Francis through his motu proprio Humanam Progressionem in 2016.

Quoted article below from link above.

QuoteCatholic sisters make Advent plea to Biden: End 'immoral' immigration rule
Dec 6, 2021

WASHINGTON, D.C. — They sang Advent hymns in front of the White House Dec. 3, hoping to get the ear of the president so he could consider lifting what they see as a health rule that hurts people trying to find refuge at the southern border.

Along with a large group of supporters and associates, about 80 women religious from 24 congregations around the country marched and circled an area in front of the White House singing and carrying signs that read: "Catholic Sisters say: End the Immoral Use of Title 42."

What they were referring to was Title 42 of the Public Health Safety Act, a policy the Trump administration began using in March 2020 as knowledge of rising infections of the coronavirus began to surge in the U.S. -- and around the world. The Biden administration has kept it in place to the consternation of immigration advocates, who say the rule is just another pretext to keep migrants out.

"We gather this morning as one family in you, in solidarity with everyone who you guided to flee their homes and journey to this land in search of a safe and fruitful life," Mary J. Novak, executive director of Network, said in an opening prayer.

Network, a Catholic social justice lobby, was one of the groups that organized the event.

Along with a group that included Sisters of Mercy, Ursulines, Maryknoll, Comboni Missionaries, Dominicans, Sisters of St. Francis, among others, and several groups that work with migrants, such as the Jesuit-run Kino Border Initiative, the Catholic Legal Immigration Network Inc. and the Haitian Bridge Alliance, the demonstrators shouted with a microphone from a public park in an area in front of the president's residence.

Sisters and supporters attended from New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, New Mexico Arizona, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, North Carolina, Maryland, Missouri and Massachusetts.

Some kept walking in front of the White House as others gathered to talk about the reasons that had moved them to join the group.

Novak recalled the Advent journey of the Holy Family, who had to flee, looking for refuge, comparing it to the situation of present-day migrants trying to find similar safety, but from gangs, poverty and different kinds of violence.

"We pray for our national leaders, the president and his administration, to open their hearts to the suffering of our siblings at the border whose human dignity is being denied," she said. "Please guide us, merciful God, in our sacred work to end the rules and practices that are causing such suffering to our human holy family."

Biden administration officials have said it's up to the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention to decide when to lift Title 42, since it's not an immigration policy but a public health measure. With a lack of control over the coronavirus, advocates worry that concerns over variants, such as omicron, will only be used politically to further rules and measures that keep migrants out even as their plight only worsens.

"A new COVID variant is never a good thing, obviously for public health, but definitely from a perspective that it can be weaponized and used as an excuse by the government to extend Title 42 and other border policies," said Chelsea Sachau, of the Florence Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project.

Sachau was quoted in a Nov. 30 article on the website of Fronteras Desk, a collaboration project run by various radio stations in Arizona.

Sister Tracey Horan, a member of the Sisters of Providence of St. Mary-of-the-Woods in Indiana, and associate director of education and advocacy for the Kino Border Initiative, told of the human toll her organization has seen at the border caused by Title 42.

She spoke about a family of five from Guatemala traveling north because of economic conditions and worries that their children would become involved with gangs or suffer violence at home.

"Upon arrival they quickly learned that Title 42 would block them," she said.

Seeing no other way to come across, they took to the river as the father carried a toddler but lost control in the current. A diaper kept the child afloat long enough for her brother to grab her and pull her to safety. But the father floated down the river and was caught by Border Patrol agents, she said.

"This is the kind of desperation that Title 42 causes," she said. "Because migrants are no longer allowed to apply for asylum, they feel they have no alternative. That's a risk. The only chance they have is going back to where they came from, but it is not an option."

As long as the Biden administration keeps Title 42 in place, "they are emboldening organized crime and are directly responsible to deaths of men, women and children seeking protection at the southern border," she said.

Sherly Debrosse, of the Haitian Bridge Alliance, said people can hide behind a lot of different excuses for limiting immigration but rules and regulations boil down to one thing: racism. She urged others to consider the human toll some of the rules and regulations take.

"We would make such a grave mistake to separate immigration issues from race issues in this country," she said. "This is not about politics. This is about rights. This is about pregnant women. This is about babies. This is about human beings."

Ronnate Asirwatham, government relations director for Network, said Title 42 wasn't the only method the administration has used to keep migrants out.

She referenced the Biden administration's announcement it is reinstituting the Migrant Protection Protocols, a Trump-era policy that keeps migrants waiting on the Mexico side until their asylum cases can be heard by U.S. immigration courts.

Although the Biden administration had ended the protocols earlier this year, in August a judge with the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas told administration officials they had to continue the policy, saying officials had not ended it properly.

On Aug. 24 the U.S. Supreme Court refused to block the judge's ruling and ruled the administration had to restart the policy.

It resumed Dec. 6 at one location -- with others to follow -- and local reporters said about 30 people had been sent back to the Mexico side on its first day.

"As justice seekers, as Americans, but especially as Catholics, we are ashamed that President Biden has locked the door at our southern border to our immigrant siblings," Asirwatham said. "We are here today to show our love and our solidarity."

A man in his 30s named Santiago told the crowd his story of fleeing Honduras, subsequently traveling to Mexico, where he lived for 11 years until it, too, became too dangerous to live. A person was burned alive in front the house he and his family shared, and they made a decision to leave, he said. But not all were able to cross to the U.S.

"Title 42 has separated my family," he said. "My children ask, 'Dad, when will we be able to see you?'"

Those gathered near the White House asked Biden to put himself in the shoes of the migrants stuck on the other side of the border with family as criminals surround them.

"What I want most to say to President Biden and to all of you today is that we know things do not have to be this way," said Sister Horan. "This is a conscious choice we are making as a nation."

She said immigrant advocates were not asking for a complete dismantling of the immigration system but simply asking for restoration system of asylum, humane treatment and due process.

"My prayer is that we don't just wait and hope for the light of the world to come," she said. "But that we (make) the conscious choice to help it shine brightly by the way we receive our migrating sisters and brothers."

https://www.americamagazine.org/politics-society/2021/01/21/immigration-reform-bill-biden-catholics-239792

Article below from link above. Emphasis is mine.

QuoteCatholics should work with Biden to get his immigration reform bill passed.

On his first day in office, President Joseph R. Biden Jr. introduced wide-ranging legislation, the U.S. Citizenship Act of 2021, to reform the nation's immigration system. The "Biden bill" marks the beginning of a new national debate on immigration that will, inevitably, feature many of the unresolved issues of debates past.

The introduction of the bill on the first day of the administration signals that President Biden is willing to spend political capital in his first term to get it passed—capital that two of his predecessors, George W. Bush and Barack Obama, were unwilling to spend until their second term. As a consequence, both Mr. Bush and Mr. Obama failed in their attempts to pass a bill.

It also represents a unique opportunity for the Catholic community to work with the administration to finally get immigration reform over the finish line.

The legislation reflects of many of the policy priorities set forth by the U.S. and Mexican bishops in their 2003 pastoral letter "Strangers No Longer: Together on the Journey of Hope." It includes a broad legalization program with a path to citizenship for the 11 million undocumented persons in the nation, long a goal of the church. It also reduces waiting times for family reunification in the legal immigration system, strengthens protections for refugees and asylum seekers
, and addresses the root causes of flight from nations like El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras.

Of course, the introduction of the bill, while welcome, is the easy part of the process. As history has shown, passing legislation like this in a relatively intact form through both chambers of a closely divided Congress will be exponentially more difficult. Difficult compromises may have to be made to ensure some measure of success.

One lesson the Trump era has taught us is to recognize the depth of opposition to immigrants in parts of the electorate—including, sadly, among the Catholic population. In past debates, proponents of immigration reform have underestimated the political strength of the opposition. For opponents, effective messaging (using scare terms like "amnesty" and "open borders") combined with strong grassroots activism has proven to be an effective, and ultimately winning, strategy to stop legislation.

Supporters of immigration reform, including Catholic advocates, will need to counter the many misleading assertions by opponents through education and community organizing. The U.S. bishops' Justice for Immigrants campaign is primed to lead the way in this effort.

However, several issues will emerge during the debate that will require careful navigation. They represent longstanding disagreements that have torpedoed past immigration reform bills.

The scope and benefits of a legalization program.   The Biden bill provides a path to citizenship to all 11 million undocumented immigrants in the country, with DACA and T.P.S. recipients and farmworkers eligible to apply for a green card immediately. Other immigrants who arrived in the country before Jan. 1, 2021, would receive temporary legal status and be eligible to apply for a green card after five years and for citizenship after eight years.

Some legislators, even those who support immigration reform, will seek to shrink the number of immigrants who qualify for any legalization program. Advocates may be confronted with the agonizing decision of accepting legal status for some portion of the undocumented population but not for everyone. Republican legislators may oppose a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants, preferring the creation of a renewable legal status that requires an immigrant to use legal avenues already in law to attain citizenship.

Family-based immigration.  Although the Biden bill reduces wait times for family reunification through the family visa system—a position that the U.S. bishops strongly support—it is likely that some elected officials will push to eliminate certain family categories in favor of employment, or "merit-based" visas. They argue that the family immigration system should focus on immediate family members—spouses and children—rather than extended family members.

In the 2013 immigration bill, for example, the family categories including adult children and siblings were eliminated and replaced with employment-based visas. Supporters of family-based immigration, including Catholic advocates, will face the challenge of expediting family-based visas without sacrificing these categories.

Future flows of migrants.  One issue that has undermined past immigration bills has been "future flows" of migrants seeking to work in the agriculture, construction and service sectors, among others. Business interests have traditionally pushed for a large "guestworker" or "temporary worker" program to provide work visas to migrant workers.

Labor unions and immigrant advocates have generally opposed these programs because they do not include adequate worker protections, just wages or permanent legal status for workers. The Biden bill increases the number of employment-based visas in the system but does not include a "guestworker" program. Even so, the issue will emerge during the debate and could derail any final agreement.

Enforcement.  The Biden bill enhances the use of technology at the border but otherwise does not add new enforcement programs to help deter or control undocumented migration. For many legislators, this makes the bill a nonstarter. They argue that immigration enforcement must be strengthened in exchange for any legalization program, so that future irregular migration can be better managed. (Some legislators in the past have argued that no legalization program can proceed until the border is "secure"—a goal that has been left ill-defined.) The question for advocates will be what kind of new enforcement programs are acceptable, if any.

Despite these challenging issues, the passage of an immigration reform bill during the 117th Congress is achievable, provided that supporters are willing to accept some trade-offs and not make, as the saying goes, the perfect the enemy of the good.

This time the fate of immigration reform legislation could be different than in years past, as polls show that Americans have grown more supportive of immigrants during the Trump era, not less. The Catholic community, working with a Catholic president, can play a key role in ensuring a positive outcome.

So much for separation of church and state. Political subversion from within, from the one religion of the world which is also a literal foreign nation state.

QuoteBiden administration's deeply unchristian immigration policy must change
Sep 29, 2021

The disturbing images of United States Border Patrol agents charging on horseback at Haitian migrants at the southern border last week set off an understandable firestorm of shock and outrage, which led to mounting criticism of the Biden administration for allowing such inhumane tactics on its watch. The cruel deportation policies aimed at Haitian migrants even led to a senior diplomat to resign in protest Sept. 23.

On Sept. 24 President Joe Biden publicly condemned what news photos and video captured at the border, saying, "It's outrageous," adding, "I promise you, those people will pay. There will be an investigation, underway now, and there will be consequences. There will be consequences."

Commenting on the obvious evocation of America's history of chattel slavery and racial injustice arising from white and white-presenting men on horseback corralling defenseless Black migrants on foot, Vice President Kamala Harris addressed the situation during an appearance on the TV show "The View" on Sept. 24.

Harris said that the pictures of the Border Patrol agents "evoked images of some of the worst moments of our history, where that kind of behavior has been used against the Indigenous people of our country, has been used against African Americans during times of slavery." But she then declined to address whether the Biden administration would halt further deportations of Haitian migrants.

For all the condemnation of the optics at the border, there appears to be little interest on the part of senior administration officials in attending to the actual problem of inhumane and unjust immigration policies that has led to the mass deportation of migrants at the southern border. In fact, much to the consternation of human rights advocates and many Democratic lawmakers, the Biden administration continues to support the Trump-era law known as Title 42, which authorizes the refusal of refugees and migrants at the border under the guise of "health protections" in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, this justification was and remains the thinnest of veneers intended to cover over dehumanizing policies under the guise of public health concerns.

Network, the Catholic social justice lobby, sent a Sept. 23 letter to Biden demanding he end the use of Title 42 to deny asylum-seekers their basic human rights. The letter, which was co-signed by 164 Catholic religious congregations, organizations, universities and academic centers (including the Center for Spirituality at St. Mary's College in Notre Dame, Indiana, where I serve as director), pointed to both an earlier federal district court decision ordering the Biden administration to halt this practice and Pope Francis' own statement Sept. 26 on the occasion of the 107th World Day for Migrants and Refugees in which the pope calls for greater recognition of the rights of migrants and refugees.

For as much as the continuation of this unjust practice at the border has confounded critics, it also appears that many within the Biden administration are likewise surprised by the direct criticism and protest in response to its actions.

Caitlin Dickerson, writing in The Atlantic Sept. 25, notes that there seems to have been a shift in public opinion and political critique in the wake of the many horrendous immigration policies put in place by the Trump administration. An unexpected, but ultimately important, consequence of the increased scrutiny directed to U.S. border policy during the previous administration has been continued attention to what is happening with Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Dickerson explains:

Up until recently, the Biden administration seemed to have been banking on the persistence of this double standard, whereby the left-leaning parts of the public assume general goodwill on the part of Democratic politicians and therefore give them a pass. The administration has taken up court battles to protect some of Trump's harshest asylum policies and commenced flying multiple planeloads of migrants back to Haiti. ...

But the assumption that these tactics would go unchallenged when deployed by a Democratic administration, as was often the case in the past, appears to have been a serious miscalculation. The spotlight that Trump shined on the southern border for four years is still plugged in. The public is still paying attention. And images that evoke the era of slavery — with fair-skinned men on horseback rushing Black migrants, whiplike reins flailing behind them — have added to a long-simmering push from the left to consider immigration policy not simply in terms of economics or national security, but also in terms of race.

There is no longer openness among many allies of Democratic politicians to turn a blind eye, make excuses or grant a blanket "benefit of the doubt" when it comes to rank dehumanizing policies and practices.

I think this is a good and important development. There is no question that over the last five years the Republican Party, at least at the national level, sold its soul to the devil in backing a dangerous demagogue whose immigration policies were overtly racist and dehumanizing, which resulted in the party's relinquishing of any claim to a moral high ground.

But to assume that just because the opposition party is worse than your own that you ought to be able to get away with an immoral immigration policy here or there is wrongheaded and needs to be called out.

No politician is perfect and no party's policies will ever be universally devoid of justified criticism on ethical grounds. However, the treatment of migrants, refugees and asylum-seekers at our nation's border is something for which debate is not needed because the moral imperative is plain as day. These dehumanizing policies are scandalous and sinful in their application against those at our border in general, but even more so when we consider the way in which they are being deployed against our Haitian sisters and brothers — who have not only experienced some of the greatest poverty in the Western hemisphere, but have also suffered the political chaos of a presidential assassination and a devastating earthquake just within the last few months.

It is no secret that President Biden is an admirer of Pope Francis, both as a practicing Roman Catholic and from the perspective of an inspirational moral leader on the global stage.

Therefore, I urge the president to heed the pope's words from Sept. 26, reminding both Catholics and all people of goodwill of what God demands of us individually and collectively when it comes to welcoming our sisters and brothers in desperate need.

"Ours must be a personal and collective commitment that cares for all our brothers and sisters who continue to suffer, even as we work towards a more sustainable, balanced and inclusive development," the pope said. "A commitment that makes no distinction between natives and foreigners, between residents and guests, since it is a matter of a treasure we hold in common, from whose care and benefits no one should be excluded."

Never mind that the reports of abuse were exaggerated, and a simple political tool for the left. President Biden must of course bend the knee to Pope Francis and the Catholic left. More prime examples of separation of church and state.

QuoteCatholic advocates keep calling for end to 'shameful' immigration rule
Mar 24, 2022

WASHINGTON — Two years after the implementation of a public health rule limiting who enters the U.S. at its borders, Catholic immigration advocates keep calling out the Biden administration for continuing it and they are demanding its demise.

Title 42 of the Public Health Safety Act is a policy the Trump administration began using in March 2020 as knowledge of rising infections of the coronavirus began to surge in the U.S. — and around the world.

Of Title 42, U.S. Customs and Border Protection says on its website that the "prohibition on the introduction of persons or property, in whole or in part, from Mexico and Canada is required in the interest of public health."

Border Patrol agents have been instructed to expel anyone caught trying to illegally enter the U.S. instead of processing them under existing immigration law.

The order, the agency says, prohibits "the entry of certain persons who potentially pose a health risk, either by virtue of being subject to previously announced travel restrictions or because they unlawfully entered the country to bypass health screening measures."

But with a dwindling number of infections and lifting of mask mandates around the country, advocates said keeping the rule in place has nothing to do with health concerns, but with more nefarious motives.

"While we watch much of the nation remove their masks at the public health guidance of this administration, we simultaneously watch the same administration continue to expel vulnerable people back to harm for the supposed protection of public health. We will not stay silent in the face of such hypocrisy," said Anna Gallagher, executive director of the Catholic Legal Immigration Network Inc., known as CLINIC, in a March 21 news release.

Biden administration officials have said Title 42 is not an immigration policy, but a health measure guided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. On March 12, just days before the second year of Title 42's implementation, the CDC said it was ending the measure for unaccompanied minors but not for adults.

"It is shameful that we have reached this anniversary," Gallagher said. "Science has told us, over and over, that Title 42 is not justified. Now that the CDC announced it will no longer be blocking unaccompanied children under the order, the lack of justification is even more glaring. If migrant children are not a threat to public health, then neither are migrant families or adults."

Gallagher called the measure "harmful, racist, xenophobic and outright sinful."

On March 21, several Catholic groups gathered outside the CDC offices in Washington to demonstrate against Title 42.

"As people of faith, we are called to love our neighbor without distinction. Title 42 dishonors the dignity of migrants and violates the internationally recognized right to seek asylum. President (Joe) Biden must act in accordance with his Catholic faith and end the racist Title 42 policy before more people are subject to violence and persecution," said Mary J. Novak, executive director of Network, a Catholic social justice lobby.

"Two years is too long for Title 42. Immigration advocates and the faith community do not tolerate the CDC's and President Biden's complicity in rationalizing and legitimizing this harmful, racist policy," said Ronnate Asirwatham, Network's government relations director. "This policy was designed to negatively impact asylum-seekers and migrants, especially Black and brown migrants. We must restore asylum and end this harmful policy at once."

Recently, a Ukrainian family who flew from Europe to Mexico City and headed north seeking refuge at the southern border of the U.S. was turned away several times. However, they were eventually allowed in after an outcry.

Some news agencies have reported their sources are saying the policy could end in April.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., said March 22 that if Title 42 is lifted, it "would take our border from its current state of chaos into a whole new level of utter, utter meltdown."

The chairman of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops' Committee on Migration also has spoken out against the use of Title 42, and a group of Catholic women religious who protested Title 42 outside the White House in December called the rule "immoral."

QuoteSupreme Court allows President Biden to end Trump's 'Remain in Mexico' policy for asylum seekers

WASHINGTON -- The Supreme Court on Thursday said the Biden administration can end a Trump-era immigration policy known as "Remain in Mexico" that had forced thousands of asylum seekers to wait south of the border while their claims were adjudicated.

The court ruled 5-4, with Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Brett Kavanaugh joining the three liberal justices in the majority.

Officially termed the "Migrant Protection Protocols" -- or MPP -- the policy was created in 2019 to send unauthorized immigrants, including asylum seekers, back to Mexico while their cases are processed in immigration court.

Trump administration officials intended the policy to serve as a deterrent against flows of migrants along the southwest border. Human rights observers and immigrant advocacy organizations said the policy contravened international law, putting vulnerable people at risk of higher documented rates of kidnapping, extortion and violence in the areas they were forced to wait.

President Biden attempted to formally end the MPP last year but was sued by Republican-led states Texas and Missouri, which alleged the Immigration and Naturalization Act required the administration to continue the program. A federal court ordered the policy to continue as legal challenges played out.

The INA says that the Department of Homeland Security "shall" detain unauthorized noncitizens pending immigration proceedings, but it also allows for their parole inside the country on a case-by-case basis if it's determined to be for "public benefit."

Congress has never allocated sufficient resources to fulfill the law's requirement of detaining all migrants and asylum seekers pending an immigration hearing; every administration has had to exercise some level of discretion in enforcement.

The Biden administration argued that the MPP required costly and complicated negotiations with Mexico and that foreign policy authority rests solely with the president - not the states or federal courts.

Under President Donald Trump, roughly 70,000 migrants were enrolled in the program and sent back to Mexico to await immigration hearings in the U.S. So far, the Biden administration has enrolled 5,000 migrants in the program. Just 2.4% have been granted relief after their claims were heard, one recent study found.

The court's decision comes as the flow of migrants to the southwest border continues to strain law enforcement and humanitarian resources. Customs and Border Protection reported 239,416 encounters with migrants in May, a two percent increase compared to April; a quarter of those were repeat offenders.

A separate Trump-era border enforcement policy known as Title 42 -- activated during the pandemic to rapidly expel migrants due to COVID -- remains in effect and unaffected by the court ruling. Biden has also tried to rescind Title 42, but lower courts have ordered it continued as legal challenges proceed.

A Catholic majority Supreme Court, which Trump himself helped establish by putting three Catholics in the Supreme Court, shoots down one of his own policies in favor of policies more in line with Catholic social doctrine and teachings. Wonder what will happen to title 42 which many Catholics are calling to an end of as well, if that case makes it to the Supreme court? Along with many other issues related to Catholic Social Justice. Especially since the Vatican believes and teaches that Catholics ought to do all they can to make their social doctrines laws of the land, whenever and wherever possible.

It might be more like seven members, as I understand Neil Gorsuch is listed as Anglican/Catholic. Basically raised Roman Catholic, while now attending an Anglican church.

QuoteMigrants use Catholic Charities to block ICE efforts
BY STEPHEN DINAN THE WASHINGTON TIMES

Immigrants crossing the border illegally are shielding themselves from ICE by listing Catholic Charities addresses as their intended destinations.

That makes it nearly impossible for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to serve them with their initial immigration court summons, gumming up the courts and giving the migrants a way to avoid the initial step in their deportation cases.

The result is when ICE does catch up, officers have to start the deportation process anew.

Catholic Charities and Homeland Security both acknowledged the practice is happening, but disagreed on who was to blame. The department said it has to accept any valid addresses migrants provide. The nonprofit group said it's a symptom of a "broken" immigration system.

Immigration officers, though, said the nonprofit and the migrants appear to be acting in concert to shield the newcomers. The summons, officially known as a Notice to Appear or NTA, is what alerts the immigration courts that a migrant has been put into deportation proceedings.

"If we don't serve a notice to appear to them, they aren't placed into proceedings," one officer said. "So the true backlog is not being accurately portrayed."

That officer figured more than 10% of migrants in their region were using the tactic.

If that were true nationally, it would mean tens of thousands of migrants each month are using Catholic Charities and other nonprofits to avoid the initial steps in their deportation.

The issue could become even more pronounced as soon as this week when the Title 42 pandemic border policy, which had allowed the government to quickly expel some migrants, is slated to expire.

The number of new immigrants crossing the southern border illegally, which has already been running at a record-high sustained pace of roughly 7,000 a day, could double.

In October, roughly a third of immigrants without documentation encountered at the border were expelled under Title 42. Most of the rest were caught and released.

Some were served with immigration court summonses before release, but many were set free on "parole" with the expectation they would collect their summonses from ICE at a later time.

That's where the bogus addresses come into play.

Before being released, the migrants are asked for their intended destinations so NTAs can be sent to them to start their deportation cases. They are listing real addresses, but ones at which they have no intention of living.

When ICE follows up with an NTA, it lands in a black hole.

For migrants who have valid asylum claims, it means they don't get to prove their case. For the majority whose claims are bogus, though, it means they duck the first step on the path toward their eventual deportation.

"If you keep them off the docket there's never a court hearing, which means the next time ICE gets them, they're just then beginning that process. This is to delay as long as possible the removal of illegal aliens," said Rob Law, who served as a senior official at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services in the Trump administration.

Catholic Charities said it became aware of the issue in April.

A spokesman said the issue "has caused us great concern," and he said the situation extends to other nonprofit groups besides Catholic Charities.

"The practice of misaddressing immigration documents places extreme burdens on asylum-seekers, nonprofit organizations and the U.S. courts," said Bill Gangluff, chief communications offi cer at Catholic Charities USA.

"Incorrect addresses will cause those seeking asylum to miss court appearances and jeopardize their status because they may never receive their documents. It causes legal, logistical and resource concerns for Catholic Charities agencies. And it disrupts the docket by denying the court the ability to notify asylumseekers about important court dates and proceedings," he said.

The organization wrote a letter to President Biden and top congressional leaders in September demanding that Homeland Security stop using its addresses, and also asked for more federal money to welcome the migrants it is helping.

"DHS must stop listing Catholic Charities' addresses on future documents without the entities' expressed consent," the organization said.

Catholic Charities said it has been in negotiations with Homeland Security and Mr. Gangluff said they believe the department is working on a fix.

The department gave no such indication in its response to The Times.

Indeed, Homeland Security said listing Catholic Charities or another nonprofi t group will be accepted by border officers and agents as long as it is a "verifiable address."

"Those who are released pending the outcome of their immigration proceedings must provide an address and follow strict immigration reporting requirements," Homeland Security said in a statement to The Times.

"Those who do not have a supporter in the U.S. may provide the address of an NGO or other location in their destination city that may not be a residential address," the department said.

The migrants are then supposed to update their addresses when they reach their destinations and check in with ICE.

For immigrants who got here illegally, counting on them to check in is often a vain hope. ICE follows up with its NTA, but if they aren't at the address, it ends up going into a virtual black hole.

Mr. Gangluff said some Catholic Charities agencies will return ICE's documents while others might flag the documents as "misaddressed" for the immigration court.

That does little for ICE, according to the officer, who said the immigration court case can't begin until the document reaches the migrant.

Mr. Law also said Catholic Charities is off base in blaming the feds.

"Not only are they complicit in this, they're actively encouraging the border crisis but they want to hide any level of public accountability," said Mr. Law, who is now director of homeland security at the America First Policy Institute.

But he said Homeland Security's policies also deserve blame.

"This is what happens when you refuse to detain aliens and you rely on NTAs and alternatives to detention. It becomes this honor system, but when you already have a population that's violated several immigration laws just to get to that point, you're asking for further exploitation," he said.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott last week sent a letter asking state Attorney General Ken Paxton to investigate NGOs for possibly "planning and facilitating illegal border crossers."

Mr. Abbott said legislation might be needed to rein in the NGOs.

And the Heritage Foundation earlier this month released a report showing that Homeland Security has essentially outsourced some of its border functions to NGOs in order to process and release migrants more quickly.

Heritage Foundation investigators tracked cellphones of presumed illegal immigrants from border NGO locations to their final destinations and found migrants ended up in nearly every congressional district. Heritage said it identified more than 30 NGOs that are involved in welcoming the migrants.

Mr. Law said the NGOs are, in effect, aiding the smuggling cartels by completing the smuggling journey in making sure migrants get released into the U.S.

"Under the guise of altruism or humanitarian focus, they are the final leg of the smuggling network. They are the ones that are oftentimes being reimbursed by taxpayer dollars, they encourage illegal aliens to come here, and they become the landing spot," he said.

Likewise Wycliff. I'll take it that your online name has nothing to do with the following histories in relation to the great Protestant reformer John Wycliff  -

From - LIFE GIVING WORD MINISTRIES

QuoteJohn Wycliffe (1324-1384) gave the English-speaking world its first Bible. The Scripture portions most commonly found among the English people before Wycliffe were Anglo Saxon and French.

WYCLIFFE'S TIMES

Rome ruled England and Europe with an iron fist. One hundred years earlier, Pope Innocent III had humbled King John II of England. The king had done things that displeased the pope, so the pope excommunicated him and issued a decree declaring that he was no longer the king and releasing the people of England from obeying him. The pope further ordered King Philip of France to organize an army and navy to overthrow John, which Philip began to do with great zeal, eager to conquer England for himself.

The pope also called for a general crusade against John, promising the participants remission of sins and a share of the spoils of war.

In the meantime, King John submitted to the pope, pledging complete allegiance to him in all things and resigning England and Ireland into the pope's hands. The following is an excerpt from the oath that John signed on May 15, 1213:

"I John, by the grace of God King of England and Lord of Ireland, in order to expiate my sins, from my own free will and the advice of my barons, give to the Church of Rome, to Pope Innocent and his successors, the kingdom of England and all other prerogatives of my crown. I will hereafter hold them as the pope's vassal. I will be faithful to God, to the Church of Rome, to the pope my master, and to his successors legitimately elected."

The Scriptures was forbidden in the common languages of the people in Wycliffe's day. One of Wycliffe's enemies, Knyghton, a canon of Leicester, complained that by translating the Scriptures into English and thus laying it "open to the laity and to women who could read" Wycliffe was casting the gospel pearl under the feet of swine. This was the attitude that was typical of Roman Catholic leaders in that day.

WYCLIFFE'S DOCTRINE

Wycliffe was a Catholic priest but began to preach against Rome's errors in his mid-30s. He did not reject Rome all at once but gradually grew in his understanding. There is a lot we do not know about his doctrine, as many of his writings have perished, but we do know that Wycliffe exposed many of Rome's errors:

He rejected the doctrine that tradition is equal in authority with the Scriptures. He rejected transubstantiation and indulgences. He taught that the apostolic churches have only elders and deacons "and declared his conviction that all orders above these had been introduced by Caesarean pride" (Shelton, II, p. 415).

Wycliffe believed the Bible to be the Word of God without error from beginning to end. He testified, "It is impossible for any part of the Holy Scriptures to be wrong. In Holy Scripture is all the truth; one part of Scripture explains another" (Fountain, John Wycliffe, p. 48).

Wycliffe's foundational doctrine was that the Bible is the sole authority for faith and practice and that men had the right to interpret Scripture for themselves before the Lord. He said, "Believers should ascertain for themselves what are the true matters of their faith, by having the Scriptures in a language which all may understand."

Wycliffe was very bold against the pope, contending that "it is blasphemy to call any head of the church, save Christ alone" (Thomas Crosby, History of the English Baptists, I, 1740, p. 7).

Consider some other statements by Wycliffe on the subject of the papacy:

"It is supposed, and with much probability, that the Roman pontiff is the great Antichrist."

How than shall any sinful wretch, who knows not whether he be damned or saved, constrain men to believe that he is head of holy Church?" (Shelton, II, p. 415).

"Antichrist puts many thousand lives in danger for his own wretched life. Why, is he not a fiend stained foul with homicide who, though a priest, fights in such a cause?" (Eadie, History of the English Bible, I, pp. 46,47).

Wycliffe taught that men have the right to have the Bible in their own languages and was willing to endure the wrath of the Catholic authorities by translating the Scriptures into English. When Wycliffe began the translation work, the Pope in Rome issued "bulls" against him. Wycliffe's reply was as follows:

"You say it is heresy to speak of the Holy Scriptures in English. You call me a heretic because I have translated the Bible into the common tongue of the people. Do you know whom you blaspheme? Did not the Holy Ghost give the Word of God at first in the mother-tongue of the nations to whom it was addressed? Why do you speak against the Holy Ghost? You say that the Church of God is in danger from this book. How can that be? Is it not from the Bible only that we learn that God has set up such a society as a Church on the earth? Is it not the Bible that gives all her authority to the Church? Is it not from the Bible that we learn who is the Builder and Sovereign of the Church, what are the laws by which she is to be governed, and the rights and privileges of her members? Without the Bible, what charter has the Church to show for all these? It is you who place the Church in jeopardy by hiding the Divine warrant, the missive royal of her King, for the authority she wields and the faith she enjoins" (Fountain, John Wycliffe, pp. 45-47).

Wycliffe also taught that men had the right to interpret Scripture. "Believers should ascertain for themselves what are the true matters of their faith, by having the Scriptures in a language which all may understand.

"

There is some evidence that Wycliffe rejected infant baptism, at least toward the end of his life. There is evidence of this from his own writings. Wycliffe taught that "baptism doth not confer, but only signify grace, which was given before." This principle undermines the doctrine of infant baptism. The Martyrs Mirror, first published in Dutch in 1660, states that in 1370 Wycliffe issued an article "declared to militate against infant baptism" (p. 322).

There is also evidence of this from the Catholic authorities. Thomas Walden and Joseph Vicecomes claimed that Wycliffe rejected infant baptism and they charged him with Anabaptist views. Walden, who wrote against the Wycliffites or Hussites in the early part of the 1400s, called Wycliffe "one of the seven heads that came out of the bottomless pit, for denying infant baptism, that heresie of the Lollards, of whom he was so great a ringleader" (Danver's Treatise, p. 2, 287, cited by Joseph Ivimey, History of the English Baptists, 1811, I, p. 72).

Even if Wycliffe did not entirely deny infant baptism, it is certain that many of his Lollard followers did. The term "Lollard," like that of "Waldensian," was a general term that encompassed a wide variety of doctrine and practice. While many of the Lollards retained infant baptism, it is certain that others did not.

THE CONNECTION BETWEEN WYCLIFFE AND THE WALDENSIANS

It is important to understand that there were already Waldensian, or separatist Anabaptist Christians, in England during the days of Wycliffe. We documented this in our study on the Waldenses in the Advanced Bible Studies Series course on Church History. Waldenses came to England in the 11th, 12th, 13th, and 14th centuries.

The Martyrs Mirror describes the persecution of 443 Waldenses in England in 1391. At least one of these told the inquisitors that he had been a Waldensian for 30 years. That takes us back to 1361, when Wycliffe was only 37 years old and when he first began preaching against Catholic errors.

Anglican historian Joseph Milner notes the possible connection between the Waldensians and John Wycliffe: "The connection between France and England, during the whole reign of Edward III, was so great, that it is by no means improbable, that Wickliffe himself derived his first impressions of religion from [Raynard] Lollard [a Bible-believing Waldensian leader who was burned at the stake at Cologne]" (Milner, The History of the Church of Christ, 1819, III, p. 509).

Catholic writers connected Wycliffe with the Waldenses. "Thomas Walden, who wrote against Wickliff, says, that the doctrine of Peter Waldo was conveyed from France into England—and that among others Wickliff received it. In this opinion he is joined by Alphonsus de Castro, who says that Wickliff only brought to light again the errors of the Waldenses. Cardinal Bellarmine, also, is pleased to say that 'Wickliff could add nothing to the heresy of the Waldenses'" (Jones, A History of the Christian Church, II, p. 91).

Joshua Thomas, in his History of the Welsh Baptists, describes some Baptists who lived in the 14th century in Olchon in Herefordshire, and he believes Wycliffe "received much of his light in the gospel" from these separatist believers (Ivimey, I, pp. 65-67).

Frederick Nolan, who diligently pursued the history of the transmission of the biblical text, says that the Lollards were disciples of the Waldenses (Nolan, Inquiry into the Integrity of the Received Text, 1815, p. xix, footnote 1).

WYCLIFFE'S BATTLES WITH THE CATHOLIC CHURCH

For his translation efforts and his biblical views, Wycliffe was hounded by the Roman authorities.

Wycliffe was forced to appear before the Catholic bishops in the first half of the year 1377 to give an account of his doctrine.

The bishops then appealed to Pope Gregory XI, and he issued five papal bulls against Wycliffe in May 1377.

From then on, Wycliffe had trouble with the Catholic authorities.

THE PROTECTING HAND OF GOD UPON WYCLIFFE

Wycliffe would have been cut off by the Roman Catholic authorities had he not, by divine intervention, been protected by certain powerful individuals and unusual events.

One of these was JOHN OF GAUNT, the Duke of Lancaster, who protected Wycliffe for many years. John was a large man and a bold warrior. His armor, which is displayed today in the Tower of London, is 6 foot 9 inches.

Another protector was QUEEN JOAN (1328-85). She was the wife of Edward III (1360-76), also known as the Black Prince (so named because of his black armor). When Edward died in 1376, she became the Queen Mother to her son Richard II. In 1378, the enemies of Wycliffe called him to stand before a tribunal of bishops in Lambeth Palace. Wycliffe was accused of spreading heresies, but the bishops were frustrated in carrying out any sentence. "...Sir Richard Clifford entered with a message from the Queen Mother, the widow of the Black Prince, forbidding them to pass sentence upon Wycliffe" (Fountain, John Wycliffe, p. 33). The trial ceased.

QUEEN ANNE, the wife of Richard II (1367-1400), also assisted Wycliffe. She was daughter to the Roman emperor Charles IV and sister of Wenceslaus, king of Bohemia. Anne was only a teenager when she was brought to England to wed Richard. She brought versions of Scriptures in German, Bohemian, and Latin with her into England. She loved Wickliffe's doctrine and sent copies of Wycliffe's books into Bohemia by her attendants (Ivimey, I, p. 69). The godly queen died in June 1394, at the age of twenty-seven.

Further, in 1378 Pope Gregory XI died, and THE GREAT PAPAL SCHISM began, during which there were two (Gregory XII and Benedict III) and then three popes, and these were too busy hurling curses at one another to worry much about Wycliffe in England!

WYCLIFFE'S MISSIONARY ENDEAVORS

Wycliffe not only translated the Bible but he carried out missionary endeavors.

Wycliffe had a powerful influence through his extensive writings, which were widely distributed in England and even in Europe and created a dissident revival movement.

Wycliffe had a missionary heart and he trained and sent out preachers to proclaim the Gospel of the grace of Jesus Christ. These were called "Bible men" and eventually were also called Lollards, and they were hounded and bitterly persecuted by the Catholic authorities. (The term "Lollard" predated Wycliffe. It might have been derived from a Waldensian preacher named Walter Lollardus, an Englishman who was burnt for heresy in Cologne. See William Canton, The Bible and the Anglo-Saxon People, 1914, p. 42; and Joseph Ivimey, The History of the English Baptists, 1811, I, p. 64.)

Wycliffe also had copies of the hand-written Scriptures produced and distributed not only in England but also abroad in Europe. That these multiplied widely is evident from the record that still exists of the many copies that were confiscated by the authorities: "By reference to the Bishop's Registers it will appear that these little books were numerous, as they are often specified as being found upon the persons of those accused. Sometimes the Gospels are spoken of either separately, or together; or it is the book of Acts, or the Epistle of James, or the Apocalypse that is specified. It appears also from these Registers, that many of those who possessed these little volumes were either servants or tradesmen" (Condit, History of the English Bible, p. 75).

THE END OF WYCLIFFE'S LIFE

In 1381, just three years before his death, Wycliffe boldly proclaimed that the Roman doctrine of transubstantiation was false. He taught that the bread and wine of the Lord's Supper do not change substance and are merely symbolic of the body and blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Wycliffe's protector, John Gaunt, refused to accept Wycliffe's denial of Rome's foundational doctrine. He warned Wycliffe to be silent about this, but Wycliffe refused, though he knew by his stand he would probably lose his protection from an earthly perspective. Gaunt did withdraw his guardianship, but Wycliffe put his trust in Someone who is larger than 6 foot 9 inches!

Wycliffe was expelled from his teaching position at Oxford at that time and was forced to withdraw to his parish of Lutterworth where he lived until his death.

In May 1382, Wycliffe was called before yet another synod of ecclesiastical authorities. This is called the Blackfriars' Synod, because it was held in the monastery of Blackfriars in London.

When the 47 bishops and monks and religious doctors took their seats, a powerful earthquake shook the city. Huge stones fell out of castle walls and pinnacles toppled. "Wycliffe called it a judgment of God and afterwards described the gathering as the 'Earthquake Council'" (Fountain, John Wycliffe, p. 39).

The synod condemned Wycliffe, charging him specifically with 10 heresies and 16 errors. His writings were forbidden and the king gave authority to imprison all of those who believed the condemned doctrines.

Wycliffe died on December 31, 1384.

THE WYCLIFFE BIBLE

Wycliffe's greatest influence was through the Bible that he translated. The New Testament was completed in 1380 and the Old Testament in 1382, just two years before he died.

It was revised by JOHN PURVEY, one of Wycliffe's disciples. The Wycliffe Bible commonly distributed was the Purvey edition.

Purvey knew that the fear of God and great care were necessary for an accurate translation. The following is from the introduction he wrote to his revision:

"A translator hath great need to study well the sense both before and after, and then also he hath need to live a clean life and be full devout in prayers, and have not his wit occupied about worldly things, that the Holy Spirit, Author of all wisdom and cunning and truth, dress him for his work and suffer him not to err. God grant to us all grace to know well and to keep well Holy Writ, and to suffer joyfully some pain for it at the last.

"

In 1421, Purvey was arrested a second time for his persistence in preaching against Rome's errors and for the distribution of Scriptures. It is said that during his first arrest in 1400, he recanted, but if that is true, he repented of it and ultimately died for his faith.

It is probable that Purvey died in prison in miserable straits for his faith in the Word of God sometime during or after 1427. We are told he "endured great suffering in Saltwood Castle" (Eadie, History of the English Bible, I, p. 65).

Wycliffe's translation was based on the Latin Vulgate, and it contained most of the errors common to that version.

THE STRANGE TALE OF WYCLIFFE'S BONES

At the Roman Catholic Council of Constance, which met between 1415 and 1418, John Wycliffe was condemned and his bones were ordered dug up and burned. This is the same Catholic council that burned John Huss and Jerome of Prague.

"As his Bible aroused the English conscience, the pope felt a chill; he heard unearthly sounds rattle through the empty caverns of his soul, and he mistook Wickliff's bones for his Bible. The moldering skeleton of the sleeping translator polluted the consecrated ground where it slept. The Council of Constance condemned his Bible and his bones to be burnt together" (Armitage, A History of the Baptists, I, p. 315).

For some reason, another 13 years passed before the strange deed was actually performed. It occurred during the reign of Pope Martin V (1417-1431). In 1428, nearly 44 years after his death, Wycliffe's bones were exhumed and burned and the ashes scattered. What sight could be more unscriptural, more pagan, more wicked, than these Catholic leaders digging up old bones in a grave yard so they can publicly desecrate the long-dead Bible translator and preacher of the Gospel of Grace? What other evidence do we need that the Roman Catholic Church is apostate? After the remains of Wycliffe were burned, the ashes were cast into the little river Swift, which flows near the Lutterworth church.

The British historian Thomas Fuller saw in this a far grander vision than the one enjoyed that day by the Catholic authorities that carried out the dastardly deed:
"To Lutterworth they come, Sumner, Commissarie, Official, Chancellour, Proctors, Doctors, and the Servants ... take, what was left, out of the grave, and burnt them to ashes, and cast them into Swift a Neighbouring Brook running hard by. Thus this Brook hath conveyed his ashes into Avon; Avon into Severn; Severn into the narrow Seas; they, into the main Ocean. And thus the Ashes of Wickliff are the Emblem of his Doctrine, which now, is dispersed all the World over."

THE INFLUENCE OF WYCLIFFE AND THE LOLLARDS

The Word of God was preached in England in a dark day and many came to the light and were saved. The record of this is largely unwritten and that which was written was largely destroyed, but it can be found in Heaven's libraries.

After Wycliffe's death the Lollards and other dissident believers continued to preach the Word of God and congregate together in fellowships to the extent possible.

The term "Lollard," like the terms "Waldensian" and "Albigensian" and "Paulician," was a catchall word that encompassed a wide variety of Christians who were opposed to Roman Catholic doctrine.

While there were Lollards who were pedobaptists and still held to some of Rome's errors, others progressed farther in their spiritual understanding and were immersionists. This fact is commonly overlooked or denied by Protestant (and even some Baptist) historians today, but the evidence is overwhelming. In a letter dated October 10, 1519, Erasmus gave this description of the Lollards in Bohemia: "... they own no other authority than the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament; they believe or own little or nothing of the sacraments of the church; such as come over to their sect, must every one be baptized anew in mere water..." (Crosby, I, pp. 14,15). Thus Erasmus described the Lollards as Anabaptists.

The authorities in England persecuted the readers of the Wycliffe Scriptures. "This Bible provoked bitter opposition, and it became necessary for the people to meet in secret to read it, as they often did. Persecution did not begin at once, but it finally became widespread and bitter. Many suffered and it has been said that some, for daring to read the Bible, WERE BURNED WITH COPIES OF IT ABOUT THEIR NECKS" (Simms, The Bible from the Beginning, p. 161).

Many laws were passed against Bible believers, such as the following:

The Constitutions of Thomas Arundel: In 1408 Thomas Arundel, Archbishop of Canterbury, at the Synod of Oxford, made a constitution which rendered it illegal to read any of Wycliffe's writings or translations within the province of Canterbury. "Detected copies of the Bible, or of any of its component books, would consequently be destroyed" (H.W. Hoare, Our English Bible: The Story of Its Origin and Growth, 1901, p. 100). The Constitutions of Thomas Arundel made this brash demand: "WE THEREFORE DECREE AND ORDAIN THAT NO MAN SHALL, HEREAFTER, BY HIS OWN AUTHORITY, TRANSLATE ANY TEXT OF THE SCRIPTURE INTO ENGLISH, OR ANY OTHER TONGUE, by way of a book, libel, or treatise, now lately set forth in the time of John Wyckliff, or since, or hereafter to be set forth, in part of in whole, privily or apertly, upon pain of greater excommunication, until the said translation be allowed by the ordinary of the place, or, if the case so require, by the council provincial" (Eadie, I, p. 89). This was the first English statute for the burning of heretics (though Bible-believing Christians had been burned before this), and it was not repealed until 1677, or 276 years later. This is Arundel's estimation of the Bible translator: "This pestilential and most wretched John Wycliffe of damnable memory, a child of the old devil, and himself a child or pupil of Anti-Christ, who while he lived, walking in the vanity of his mind ... crowned his wickedness by translating the Scriptures into the mother tongue" (Fountain, John Wycliffe, p. 45).

During the reign of Henry V (1413-22), an Act was confirmed by which the "English sheriffs were forced to take an oath to persecute the Lollards, and the justices must deliver a relapsed heretic to be burned within ten days of his accusation. ... No mercy was shown under any circumstances" (Armitage, A History of the Baptists, 1890, I, pp. 323, 325).

In 1414 the legislature under Henry V joined in asking for harder measures against the Lollards. "After a suspected rising of the Lollards, a law was passed, declaring that ALL WHO READ THE SCRIPTURES IN THE MOTHER TONGUE SHOULD 'FORFEIT LAND, CATEL, LIF, AND GOODS, FROM THEYR HEYRES [THEIR HEIRS] FOR EVER'" (Eadie, History of the English Bible, I, p. 89).

Many of the Lollards were burned alive for their faith in the 1400s. Following are a few examples. In our Advanced Bible Studies course on Church History we list about 40 that were burned in the 15th century, but there were probably many more. Much of the record is gone.

In 1409 a tailor named Bradbe was roasted alive in a barrel (Eadie, I, p. 87; Hassell, pp. 465,66).

Thomas Bagley was burned at Smithfield in 1430. He had stated that if a priest made the consecrated wafer into God, he made a God that can be eaten by rats and mice.

At Christmas time in 1417, Sir John Oldcastle was roasted alive for his faith in the Word of God and his rejection of Rome's authority. Oldcastle was the Lord of Cobham, a famous and fearless knight, and a favorite of King Henry IV. He loved John Wycliffe and the Wycliffe doctrine and often stood by Wycliffe or other Lollard preachers in his armor to protect them. Oldcastle used his position to shield Lollard preachers and his wealth to have copies of the Wycliffe Scriptures made for distribution. In spite of his open rejection of Roman Catholicism, Oldcastle was himself shielded King Henry IV until his death in 1413, at which time Oldcastle's Romanist enemies connived destroy him. They falsely charged Oldcastle with plotting a rebellion against the new king and had him arrested and condemned to die as a traitor and a heretic. Brought to the place of punishment a few days before Christmas 1417, "having a cheerful countenance," it was evident that the old warrior still carried a burden for the souls of the people. Prior to his brutal execution, he warned the people to obey the Holy Bible and to beware of false teachers, whose lives are contrary to Christ and His example. He refused to allow a Catholic priest to minister to him, boldly declaring, instead, that he would confess his sins "to God only." Falling down on his knees, he prayed that God would forgive his persecutors. This man who had loved the Word of God and had caused it to be distributed among the people, was hung in chains and suspended over the fire to be roasted alive. As this barbarous execution proceeded, the hateful priests and monks reviled and cursed the poor man and did their best to prevent the people from praying for him. It was to no avail. The people loved the godly knight and they wept and prayed with him and for him. The last words which were heard, before his voice was drowned by the roaring flames, was "Praise God!

"

John Goose was burned at Tower Hill in 1474. He had been arrested and had abjured ten years earlier, but he repented of his abjuration and continued in the truth. After Goose's final arrest, a sheriff in London, Robert Billesdon, took the condemned man to his home to plead with him to repent of his "errors." The steadfast believer refused and requested something to eat, saying "I eat now a good and competent dinner, for I shall pass a little sharp shower or I go to supper." Thus, he was planning to eat his supper in Heaven, but before that, he had to go through the fire, which he described as "a little sharp shower." After he finished his meal, John Goose asked to be taken to the execution.

In 1494, 80-year-old Joan Boughton was burned to death at Smithfield. She was charged with holding eight heretical opinions derived from Wycliffe. Joan Boughton's daughter, Lady Young, widow of Sir John Young, a mayor of London, was also burned at the stake. She had accepted Christ and apostolic doctrine, but her husband remained a Catholic.

Many others suffered imprisonment in the Lollard's Tower and other places:

So many of the dissident Christians were arrested and incarcerated that a tower in Lambeth Palace, the London headquarters of the Archbishop of Canterbury, was named Lollard's Tower. It was made into a prison in the early 15th century by Archbishop Henry Chichele.

Those imprisoned in the Tower were shackled in chains. The rings for the shackles could still be seen in the early 20th century.

In one three-year period (1428-31) 120 persons were imprisoned for Lollardy.

The Lollard's Tower was bombed on May 10, 1941, during World War II, and was "completely gutted." It has been rebuilt and today it houses private apartments. When we had a private tour of Lambeth Palace in March 2003, our guide told us that she did not know what, if anything, still remains of the prison room. But there is a photo in the official Lambeth Palace guide book that appears to possibly have been taken after World War II and that shows a corner of the prison room with the rings in the walls (Lambeth Palace, Warners Midlands PLC: 1998, p. 11).

Many Lollards were branded and otherwise marked: Many were marked for life as "heretics" by branding or by being forced to wear special clothes.

Some were forced to wear a depiction of a fiery torch on their clothes during the rest of their lives as a reminder "that they deserved burning" and as a continual warning to others of the potential price of standing upon the Bible and rejecting Roman Catholic authority. To go into the public without this garment or with it covered meant death. "And, indeed, to poor people it was true,--put it off, and be burned; keep it on, and be starved: seeing none generally would set them on work that carried that badge about them" (Evans, Early English Baptists, I, p. 23, f1).

Others were branded on the cheeks. "Their necks were tied fast to a post with towels, and their hands holden, that they might not stir; and so the hot iron was put to their cheeks. It is not certain whether branded with L for Lollard, or H for heretic, or whether it was only a formless print of iron" (Fuller, Church History, p. 164).

The Scriptures were confiscated and burned

In 1375, the Archbishop of Prague issued orders for Wycliffe's books to be burned, and "consequently two hundred volumes of them ... were committed to the flames" (Orchard, A Concise History of Baptists, p. 237). In 1410 about 200 copies of Wycliffe's writings were publicly burned at Oxford.

So many of the Wycliffe Bibles were destroyed that only 15 copies of the Old Testament and 18 of the New still exist, in spite of the fact that they were reproduced over a period of more than 140 years prior to the printing of the Tyndale New Testament (Simms, The Bible from the Beginning, p. 164).

The Forbidden Book

"The Bible was worth more than life itself to many of these ancient Christians, and so it is today to those who understand its true value. "The forbidden book was often read by night, and those who had not been themselves educated listened with eagerness to the reading of others; but to read it, and to hear it read, were alike forbidden. Copies of the New Testament were also borrowed from hand to hand through a wide circle, and poor people gathered their pennies and formed copartneries for the purchase of the sacred volume. Those who could afford it gave five marks for the coveted manuscript (a very large amount of money in that day), and others in their penury gave gladly for a few leaves of St. Peter and St. Paul a load of hay. ... Some committed portions to memory, that they might recite them to relatives and friends. Thus Alice Colins was commonly sent for to the meetings, 'to recite unto them the Ten Commandments and the Epistles of Peter and James.' ... In 1429 Margery Backster was indicted because she asked her maid Joan to 'come and hear her husband read the law of Christ out of a book he was wont to read by night.' ... The means employed to discover the readers and possessors of Scripture were truly execrable in character. Friends and relations were put on oath, and bound to say what they knew of their own kindred. The privacy of the household was violated through this espionage; and husband and wife, parent and child, were sworn against one another. The ties of blood were wronged, and the confidence of friendship was turned into a snare in this secret service. Universal suspicion must have been created; no one could tell who his accuser might be, for the friend to whom he had read of Christ's betrayal might soon be tempted to act the part of Judas towards himself, and for some paltry consideration sell his life to the ecclesiastical powers" (Eadie, History of the English Bible, I, pp. 91, 92, 93).

The persecutions continued right up to William Tyndale's day in the early 16th century. The Lollard believers continued to be imprisoned, persecuted, and burned. In our Advanced Bible Studies course on Church History we list 99 Christians who were burned for their faith in England between 1500 and 1532, and many others were imprisoned, beaten, and otherwise tormented.

Because of the fierce persecution in Britain, the Word of God was carried abroad. Because of the bitter persecution in England following Wycliffe's death, multitudes of Christians were forced into exile, fleeing to the wilds of Scotland, Wales, and Ireland, to Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, Bohemia. As they moved from place to place, they carried with them the precious words of eternal life and in this manner the outlawed Scriptures spread even in the face of bitter persecution.

The preaching of the Word of God prepared the way for the Reformation in England and elsewhere. The groups of Christians who established their faith and practice upon the Wycliffe Bible continued to exist until the formation of the Church of England. The doctrine of the Lollards was still being proclaimed in England in 1529. The royal proclamation that year called upon the authorities to "destroy all heresies and errors commonly called Lollardies." As late as 1546, well into the Protestant Reformation, another proclamation by the English authorities forbidding the possession of Scriptures also mentioned the writings of Wycliffe.

Thus, John Wycliffe is called the "MORNINGSTAR OF THE REFORMATION."

And, of course, you believe all of that is now rather than, say, two thousand, three thousand, four thousand or more years from now.

Not when I see it taking place now, by an ever increasing number of peoples the world over. Who are also racing us toward global unification and government under the immoral guidance of the man of sin, and the spiritually whorish institution over which he presides. Which whorish woman sat upon the first beast of the book of Revelation chapter 13, and is presently rising atop the second beast which helps heal the first beasts deadly wound. But what are such prophetic utterances to those who will choose lying wonders over the truths of God's word?

What is the truth of God's word? Do you profess to actually know it above and beyond everyone else?

Chill dude, you're just another one of us seeking the truth in the best way possible.
