Trump was shot at 6:11 PM

Ephesians 6:11 says

Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.

You decide... as for me

::prayinghard::  Thank you heavenly Father for your protection
of Donald Trump. May he serve you and do your wishes, as well as we all.

Coincidence and misuse of scripture

Sounds like a co-inky-dink ter me!

Whatever connection you want to place on this Ephesian 6:11 verse with the timing of the assassination attempt at 6:11 on Saturday, let me add the following.

I have a small C. H. Spurgeon daily Bible reading book which my own mother gave me years ago.  It is called "The Chequebook of the Bank of Faith".  It contains a single encouraging promise of God in a Bible verse per day, with Spurgeon's short commentary on it.  I have read this little book over and over in the years since my mother gave this to me, and have marked each time where a verse was particularly apropos for whatever trial or trouble was happening that day.  The binding of this little book is wearing off, but the verses have never lost their power to encourage me.  The book's margins are filling up with my marks noting where the day's verse of promise was especially comforting and fitting for my situation.

Let me quote the particular verse Spurgeon selected for July 13th, which happened to be the day of the assassination attempt on Trump.

"For I will surely deliver thee, and thou shalt not fall by the sword, but thy life shall be for a prey unto thee: because thou hast put thy trust in me, saith the Lord." (Jeremiah 39:18)

I don't need to comment.  God said it best.
