A brilliant move by President Putin. Offering sanctuary to all westerners seeking to escape the insane radical wokeness of the lefty globalists. Who would have ever thought the time would come when Russia could offer an escape from insane globalist lefty government in the west. If things do not alter their present course in the west, many might have to escape to Russia or other nations not infected with the woke virus.

Smart move, but is it sincere?  I have a hard time thinking Putin - a career communist and ex-KGB guy - is actually sympathetic to Christianity.

I would assume his "interest" is only in making sure his country is not inundated by the wokies. The US is a visible to all petrie dish of disasterous idealogy. He knows Christian nationalists are adamantly against wokeness. I would guess he is not sincerely pro Christian, but I would bet he is not at all sympathetically woke by any stretch. He sees the trends.
