Matthew 4:1-11

New International Version
Jesus Is Tested in the Wilderness
4 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted[a] by the devil. 2 After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3 The tempter came to him and said, "If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread."

4 Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"

5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. 6 "If you are the Son of God," he said, "throw yourself down. For it is written:

"'He will command his angels concerning you,
and they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.'[c]"

7 Jesus answered him, "It is also written: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.'[d]"

8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 "All this I will give you," he said, "if you will bow down and worship me."

10 Jesus said to him, "Away from me, Satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'[e]"

11 Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.

Our Loving Saviour Jesus Christ was The Chosen of God & God Himself.
And evil Satan knew this,
yet He wanted to take Christ away from God,
by tempting Him.
Yet Christ was full of the light of God & could not be tempted.
And drove evil Satan away.
There were other Chosen servants of God as well,
whom Satan tried to distract,
but God was far ahead of Satan,
& protected His chosen elect,
Amen.

1 Kings 19 tells the true story about Prophet Elijah fleeing for his life
after defeating the teachers of the false Maker.
Queen Jezebel vows to take revenge on the Prophet Elijah by the next day but Elijah flees to Beersheba in Judah.

1 Kings 19
.....4 But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness and came and sat down under a broom tree. And he asked that he might die, saying, "It is enough; now, O Lord, take away my life, for I am no better than my fathers." 5 And he lay down and slept under a broom tree. And behold, an angel touched him and said to him, "Arise and eat." 6 And he looked, and behold, there was at his head a cake baked on hot stones and a jar of water. And he ate and drank and lay down again. 7 And the angel of the Lord came again a second time and touched him and said, "Arise and eat, for the journey is too great for you." 8 And he arose and ate and drank, and went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights to Horeb, the mount of God.

The Lord Speaks to Elijah
.....11 And he said, "Go out and stand on the mount before the Lord." And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore the mountains and broke in pieces the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. And after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. 12 And after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire the sound of a low whisper.[a] 13 And when Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his cloak and went out and stood at the entrance of the cave. And behold, there came a voice to him and said, "What are you doing here, Elijah?".....

15 And the Lord said to him, "Go, return on your way to the wilderness of Damascus. And when you arrive, you shall anoint Hazael to be king over Syria. 16 And Jehu the son of Nimshi you shall anoint to be king over Israel, and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abel-meholah you shall anoint to be prophet in your place......

"Many are called, but few are chosen."
 Matthew 22:14

The most beautiful life is that which is surrendered to Christ.
Though God has given a free will to humanity,
but when a person chooses to use that same God given free will to surrender to God,
God knows that a person trusts Him more than anything else.
And this trust is valuable because God knows that a believer is keeping the faith.

And this faith is a powerful bond between the surrendered heart of the believer & God.
This surrender of the heart to God starts a journey of light.
And God marks this person as His own.
And the divine realm recognizes this person as being chosen of God.
And the powerful Holy Spirit begins to surround the chosen of God.
Through the chosen person, God performs miracles of healing as the chosen becomes a vessel for the grace of God to flow.
When the Chosen servant prays, God hears those prayers,

Job 42:10
After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before.

& other supernatural miracles are performed by God Himself, when the Chosen vessel's (servant), plea reaches Heaven.

Joshua 10
12 On the day the Lord gave the Amorites over to Israel, Joshua said to the Lord in the presence of Israel:

"Sun, stand still over Gibeon,
and you, moon, over the Valley of Aijalon."
13 So the sun stood still,
    and the moon stopped,
till the nation avenged itself on its enemies,

as it is written in the Book of Jashar.

The sun stopped in the middle of the sky and delayed going down about a full day. 14 There has never been a day like it before or since, a day when the Lord listened to a human being. Surely the Lord was fighting for Israel!

15 Then Joshua returned with all Israel to the camp at Gilgal.

And even Satan is aware of the light of the chosen servant of God,
So, he tries his level best to hinder the chosen from doing the work of God,
but God is far ahead of Satan,
& will not allow Satan to stop His chosen servant from carrying the divine assignment of God.

At first, Satan sends his accomplices to distract or disturb the Chosen Servant of God,
so God sends a mild reminder to these dark souls,
to retreat & leave the Chosen of God,
but Satan is proud & arrogant & defiant,
so his followers are the same.
Their pride & vanity makes them disregard the voice of God.

They, in their conceit become so hardened that they are filled with ignorance & the fall confidence that victory will be theirs.
But before every vain step there will be a fall.
So, blinded by their arrogance & their inability to accept the direction of God,
these hardened dark souls with pride in their calloused hearts continue unabashed with their evil schemes of disturbing, harassing or trying to cause harm in the lives of the chosen of God & other believers.

But Heaven is attentive towards every step of Satan & his evil followers
& knows exactly who is causing suffering, pain or damage to His Chosen Servant & other believers.
So God, in His wisdom, sends other mild reminders,
so that the dark souls stop their disobedience & ask for forgiveness.

For God wishes that dark souls ask for repentance & so that He can  show mercy first before the final judgment.
But those who are dark souls  are consumed with greed, malice, trickery,
injustice & the desire to get everything they want, &
continue with their shady schemes.

But God in His wisdom, gives these tricksters & dark souls more chances to reform & become changed & better versions of themselves.
But instead of reforming & becoming obedient,
these dark souls, continue with their evil tricks of trying to cause harm, damage & hurt to others.

Just because God doesn't immediately pronounce judgment,
so these dark souls become emboldened with their tricky clever schemes,
thinking that the powerful divine realm is unaware of their intentions, thoughts & actions,
but a time comes, when Heaven itself,
decides to pronounce judgment,
not because Heaven is revengeful,
but because it judges after giving a considerable amount of time to repent.

And when the judgment of Heaven comes,
justice takes place.
Because God loves His people & His chosen ones.
When dark souls harm or cause pain to God's people,
Heaven records their misdeeds & judges them.

A person may think their own ways are right,
but the Lord weighs the heart.
Proverbs 21:2

But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken.
Matthew 12:36

But when dark souls or Satan himself go against the Chosen Servant of God,
they go against the very Hand of God that sustains them.
And the chosen servant of God has a purpose to fulfill,
a Holy purpose of doing God's Work.
And anyone that comes between the purpose of God & the chosen servant,
is judged.

Because going against the chosen people/ chosen servant is going against the mighty Hand of God.
That is why what God calls His own,
what God seals as His own,
what God stamps as His own,
He sustains.
And what He sustains cannot be defeated by Satan or his dark souls,
because God is all powerful.
Amen.

My soul yearns for you in the night;
in the morning my spirit longs for you.
When your judgments come upon the earth,
the people of the world learn righteousness.
Isaiah 26:9

If this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment.
2 Peter 2:9

"No weapon forged against you will prevail,
and you will refute every tongue that accuses you.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
and this is their vindication from me,"
declares the Lord.
Isaiah 54:17

And for us believers, our God is the only true living God,
creator of Heaven & Earth,
all knowing,
supreme & eternal,
Amen.
