I would have loved to have seen it, especially since it focused on Texas A & M.  However, I don't get ESPN so it was a "no show".

I started to watch it but decided it not worth hearing the bad language. etc.  Changed channels when the one boy went to the house of prostitution.  Therefore, I guess I would give it a 1-.

I had to wonder how much of the little I saw was exaggerated.  Honestly, in the minutes I watched (somewhere into the movie) the brutality was so overwhelming I didn't really notice the language.

It was about Paul "Bear" Bryant. It was on ESPN. Did anyone see it? I did. Out of 10 I will give it a 9. I have heard from sources who played for "Bear" that he really didn't have THAT bad of a mouth.

caught about ten minutes of it, and decided to make it a point to tape it later so I can watch the whole thing.  I was put off by Berenger's accent in the commercials, but it didn't seem bad in the movie--at least in the part I saw (and besides, if I could watch him with that awful beard in Gettysburg I could put up with a bad accent.)  What I saw was more over-the-top than I expected.  He made Bobby Knight look tame.

I saw it. I'm not from Alabama, never lived there, no ties to the school. Same with the state of Texas and the Aggies. But what I've read about Bryant is that he was a moderate to mild user of profanity and quick to punish any player who used it within hearing of him or any coach. TV is addicted to making everything, in the past especially, seem to be worse than it was - more cussing, more promiscuity, more drunkenness, more drugs, more mindless violence, etc. That makes it easier for TV people to say we live in the best of times. The unnecessary scene of the boy going to the cathouse is another example.
