If you want to quote a section that someone said, or quote someone else, it is simple.

Place the word "quote" in brackets before the section you want to quote.

Place "/quote" in brackets at the end of your quote.

Good luck.

Thanks, Bill and Kevin

Did that work?

If you would have put some text between your two commands, it would have worked.  That is [span style=\'color:green\']exactly[/span] how it is done!

Now Kev can tell us how to color text like his "exactly".

Would someone be kind enough to help me understand how I can place a quote in my posting?  I have had some wonderful and rather lengthy discussions with Geoff (Berean) and I feel kind of handicapped in responding to him (and to anyone else) because I do not know how to isolate any of his quotes.  Would make ours and any future communication that much more clear, I'm sure.

Anyway, would appreciate all the help for this old computer novice.  Thanks in advance.

Steve, to quote the entire post, you click the "quote button" above the post.  To quoate a portion, click on the "QUOTE' button in the "iB Code Button", then copy & paste what you want to quote. Then click on the "quote" BUTTON AGAIN. [!--QuoteBegin--][/span]

Quote

[!--QuoteEBegin--]because I do not know how to isolate any of his quotes.
OR YOU CAN PUT [!--QuoteBegin--][/span]

Quote

[!--QuoteEBegin--] before and
after what you want to quote.  bracket quote close bracket item and then bracket ([) /quote, (]) close bracket

Janine,

I'd be glad to.  I just love putting words of Jesus in red.

Anyway, here is how it is done.

Use the same brackets you use for quotes.  Except, in those brackets you place the following:

"color=red" (or whatever color you want) before what you want to be a specific color.

at the end of the section you want colored you place the following in brackets:

[span style=\'color:blue\']Let's make this board a colorful place[/span]
