I can't believe the Olympics were cancelled already.  I watched a few episodes last month, and it seemed to be pretty good.  Decent plots, some drama, suspense.  Now I hear they only lasted two weeks.  What's up with that?  Couldn't NBC wait to see if they caught on before pulling the plug?

::headscratch::

Based upon the failure of the Olympics, I doubt CBS's show about college basketball will make it past the end of the month.

What do you think?

I expect the olympics show will be back as a summer replacement in a couple of years.  .

There was this show I really liked -  The 2004 Holiday Bowl,  Texas Tech v. California.

They only showed it once, though.

My real surprise is something like the nightly news has continued its run for as many years as it has. I mean, wouldn't something that has bad news, bad news, and more bad news have to be cancelled after a while?

ESPNU's telecast of Arkansas State and Louisiana Lafayette in 2005 in football was pretty good. They ran it again early the next morning and then again in December as part of their "Christmas Miracles" series. The good guys had to outscore the Cajuns 25-7 in the fourth quarter to win by 3.

I'm trusting that this Thursday's episode of WVU vs. Texas will be better than the one that ran back in December, since this one is being broadcast by CBS not ESPN.

I don't know.  I don't usually watch sequels.  Still, maybe it'll be a cooking show, with WVU showing how to make beef BBQ.
