I'll take it!  I'll take it!

In fact, I may steal it.  I've been assigned the closing prayer for the Saturday night of a 3-day retreat in November.

After the long day of skits and entertainment and deep, deep study... after the formal-dress banquet... Before 300+ women... I close the evening, and pretty much the event, since many head home for worship the next morning...

I can pray any time, drop of a hat, no problem.  It's my favorite thing to do in groups is to pray... especially if it's with women, so I get to express my own praise & petitions without stepping on sacred-cow-toes...

But, for such a terrific event, I'm praying about the prayer long before I pray it!   Of course I want it to minister to many and to praise God as it should.

So, thanks Fate for the wonderful prayer.  May it give me a boost!

A BLESSING FOR THOSE WHO WILL RECEIVE IT

May the love of God fill your souls with peace.
May the presence of The Holy Spirit rescue your mind from the evil one.
May the grace of our Lord and Savior Jeus Christ soothe your hearts from guilt and shame.

Blessed Father,

Hold our minds in perfect peace. Only You, O Father, are able to unify us by your Spirit. Only you, Blessed Redeemer, are able to heal our sin-diseased hearts. So we come to You in humble submission to Your Way, not with agendas of our own, just as aimless arrows wanting to be shot in the purposeful direction of your good pleasure.

Forgive us Almighty God of our many and various sins. Forgive us Almighty God of our transgressions and iniquities. By the blood of Jesus and His unselfish sacrifice we make this plea.

Our petition to you O God, is to save your people. You O God, know them... for you said You call them by name and they hear your voice. So hear our earnest plea Heavenly Father and attend unto the voice of our tears. I believe Your promise that You will never leave and never forsake. I claim it today. For we need you dear Father.

All praise to You Almighty God for You are more than able to do. You are the Great "I AM". There is none like You. You are our Creator and Sustainer. Your Word is our guide and Your Spirit is our Comfortor.

Praises to You Almighty God.

Hallaluia to Your Name.

Glory in the Highest to our God and King.

In His name... Amen

Fate

No prob... it's yours.

Besides I have been known to steal a point or two from a sermon in my time! ;)
