You need a "who cares" option in the pole.

Well, the Mavericks have lost two tough road games in a row.  However, I still think they will be on top come June.  I don't think anyone can get the best of Dallas in a seven game series.  They have too many weapons.

What's going on with Kobe?... Has he gotten ahold of Calvin Cambridges sneakers?

93 points in the last two nights, the most recent 51 coming in just 31 minutes of play (if Phil would have left him in, he probably would have scored 70).

With Kobe playing this way, and Shaq clogging the middle... In answer to the poll question, I say again... LAKERS.

Bon Voyage

I will be awaiting for college football to start once again.

I think this year belongs to the Mark Cuban and the Mavericks.  What say you?

I think it's a tossup between the Cincinnati Royals and The Baltimore Bullets.

Of course the Kentucky Colonels could surprise.

Sorry. As I said elsewhere, I don't watch the NBA; I only follow team sports.

Hey Marc,

If you want to see team play in NBA, watch the Mavericks.  They have a lot of team chemistry.

I've heard this also about New Jersey, but have yet to find the courage to watch and see.

What?  No mention of Jerry West or Elgin Baylor?

No doubt it will bw a four-peat for the Bling Dynasty! The mavericks are a great team and so are the others in the poll. But come on! Who can honestly think that ANYONE will be able to compete with the Lakers if they're healthy.

Here's why. A motivated laker team is a defensive wonder. Rick Fox is underated as a defender. Yeah I know, "he's slow"  "he can't jump" "blah.. blah.. blah...!" But in the big games he puts the clamp on whichever speedy high-fly act he's guarding. Derek Fisher does a great job guarding the other point guards. Yeah, I know, "he can't hold the speedy little guards."  And who can? Who in the league stops Allen Iverson, Bibby, or Stephon Marbury? He does as good a job as many and better than most.

Also we have two unguardables in Shaq and Kobe. Whereas Shaq can guard any other center in the league (unless you count Tim Duncan, but who else can? And he does a decent job on him.) and Kobe can guard almost anyone who's not a center or power forward. Can you say match up problems?:noddingsmiley:

And if we don't this year, I heard that Juwan Howard wants to be a laker next year. If so, watch out world!

But the really important sports story this week was that pitchers and catchers reported to spring training.
