Son of a Preacher Man

Skipping all the mundane details, I'll just say I was surprised that I liked it, too. :thumbs-up:

I liked this one too.

I'm curious as to whether anyone has seen this and what you thought of it.  I saw it on an airplane last fall and was pleasantly surprised.  Even though it played around the edges of a few old cliches (such as the self-absorbed bachelor lying about having a kid) these cliches didn't form the center of the movie, which seemed to be about real, flawed people.  I can't get the idea of life being lived in 15-minute segments out of my head.

I loved this movie. It had nothing to do with me drooling over Hugh Grant, either...LIAR. Anyway, I like movies where the people seem so unredeemable and actually get redeemed. That is why my fav movie is "As Good as it Gets".

I liked that quality in As Good As It Gets, too.

That may be another reason why I loved Shadrach.

I've got to go find About a Boy.  If I ask at Blockbuster for Hugh Grant movies, ya think they'll have it?  Not that it matters right now, since my VCR is dead...

Maybe Mike'll get us a DVD for the anniversary.
