As many of you know, the Jewish holiday, Rosh Hashanan, began last Friday evening, celebrating the beginning of the 5767th  year since Creation.

["L' Shana Tova" means, basically, "Have a Good Year!"]

My question continues to be, why is Young Earth Creationism always considered as a Fundamentalist Christian phenomenon? ::pondering::

Hi Norm,
I graduated from Warner Robbins High in 75.  My dad was the hospital commander on Robbins AFB.  There's lots of red clay in Georgia right?  You're a Young Earth Creationist?  What does that mean beyond the fact that you believe the universe was created 5767 years ago?

And yesterday was the anniversary of creation according to Bishop Ussher. October 23, 4004 BC.

And yesterday was the anniversery of creation according to Bishop Ussher.

And this would be the Year 6009 since creation.  It is not the Year 6010 because of the error of the little medieval monk who set up our time reckoning.  He did not include a "year zero" as he should have.  Thus there is only a year's space between the date of Year 1 B.C. and the date of Year 1 A.D. instead of two years as should have been the case.

True.  Though it is really not the beginning of creation that is celebrated on the Feast of Trumpets, but the creation of Adam and of the human race.
