Sometimes, I'm content with my circumstances.........sometimes, I'm not (there's a ridiculous rant of mine somewhere on this board....imortalizing my stupidity for all the world to see and reminding me of what a little brat I can be).

Frankly, I don't think we were ever promised happiness in this life, so I try to remember that I have joy.

The difference between happiness and joy:

Happiness is dependent on circumstances.

Joy (in Christ) is a state of being regardless of the circumstance.  It's what brings us the peace that surpasses all understanding.
