our feelings

I was praying with two friends one night when God spoke through me as I was praying.  This is what I said:  "For we are not to equate the level of our spirituality with the intensity of our feelings."

This 'quote' came out of nowhere.  Well, no, that's not true.  I was moved by the Holy Spirit to say those words.  How do you feel about this statement?

I certainly agree with you! Feelings are misleading, as what the Bible  said, "the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked," we couldn't trust it.
