Not to make a mountain out of a molehill, but there used to be a way to add a labelled hyperlink as a simple two-step process.  Now all the button provides is a pair of urls.

Is there a way to label a link quickly, or we going to have to remember an  [A HREF= yadda, yadda] code?

What you do is click the picture of the globe from the "BBC tags" above your posting box. It will put the [url] and [/url] codes in your message box.

From there, you simply place an = sign right beside the first URL. Example [url=]. Then you type in your web address. So it's [url=http://www.gracecentered.com/christian_forums/christian-role-playing-forum/].

Whatever you put between the [url=http://www.gracecentered.com/christian_forums/christian-role-playing-forum/] and the [/url] will be the text and title of the link.

For example, [url=http://www.gracecentered.com/christian_forums/christian-role-playing-forum/] Christian Role Playing Game Forum[/url] will show up as Christian Role Playing Game Forum.

Understand?

By the way, you can cancel out the BBC code like I did in this post. You just put [nobbc] before the BBC tags you don't want to actually work but to only use for an example. Then you put [/nobbc] after the code you want to use as an example.

It is Feb. 3rd. Quite a milestone for a person with CP, albeit minor (legs). Got it alright, I just need to be able to do it again. May take a time or two.

I don't usually use the buttons -- I just type it in.  STUFF, I like.

Of course, it helps if the link actually goes to a valid page . . .

Yeah, I noticed that.

But see how clever and cool it looks, to "light up" under the cursor like any link, but yet not go anywhere.
