I saw Juno over the weekend, and it was very, very good.  A recap:  Juno is a teenage girl who has sex one time with her sort-of boyfriend.  Said sex results in pregnancy.  Juno goes to get an abortion, but runs into a friend at the abortion clinic, whose one-girl protest against abortion persuades Juno that her baby has fingernails.  Juno decides to have the baby and seeks adoptive parents.  And it gets interesting and creepy and odd and wonderful after that.

Very good movie.  Not for the little ones.

If you're an award watcher, Juno has been nominated for Best Picture, Best Actress, and Best Director Oscars.

My wife and I saw it this weekend also after she took Oprah's recommendation to see it. We both thought it was pretty crude, but it was a good story, I loved the message. A little rough around the edges though. I'm sure it will win all the awards since I didn't care for it all that much. I was impressed with the girls acting. She will go far.

We saw a better movie this weekend, Bucket List. I even cried.  ::cryingtears::
It had too much profanity though. However Jack Nickolson's character wouldn't have been the same without it.

Let me see . . . I bet you cried when Jack Nicholson crossed off the list "kiss the most beautiful girl in the world."
Am I close?  ::pondering::

Just saw Juno...thot it was excellent. The pro life theme made me very proud...i always thought....everyone knows its wrong they just try to justify.. i still feel that way.

I just saw it and heard that it was great. I liked the pro-life theme also and it highlighted the pregancy is tough. But I was shocked at the crudeness -- espeicailly about the male anatomy and the swearing . It did seem a little too pornogrpahic to me, such as the postioning of the male actor in postions of weakness. Overall, I do not think I wouold recommned it to others.

I missed the first ten minutes or so, but it did keep my interest to the end.  It would have been a much better movie without the profanity and hand gesture by the star at the end.  Also, Juno was pretty much allowed to do what she wanted, when she wanted to do it, and she was only a teenager in her junior yr. of high school.   I wouldn't recommend this movie due to the profanity, the disrespect for those in authority, and for the poor example it sets by Juno being pretty much unsupervised.  It was definitely a positive that Juno did not abort the baby, but felt that theme could have been dealt with in a more positive way.  JMHO.

Haha I love this movie! I have 2 Juno shirts from Hot Topic - one says "Hold on I'm on my Hamburger phone" and the other says "Paulie Bleeker is the cheese to my macoroni" haha ::yummy::
