In the short time I've been here, I've noticed "position" and "Manna".  I understand position as being based on one's number of posts; but how does one earn Manna?

janine

By being extra-especially nice to Janine!

Hah!

Seriously, you earn manna because someone agrees with something you say -- or maybe they don't agree, maybe they even disagree sometimes, but they might think you are a gentleman when you argue and debate --

Or perhaps someone may simply want to encourage you because you mention a problem of yours in a prayer request or when asking for suggestions.

They vote you manna, one manna-point at a time.

I voted you one for asking a great question.

Be nice to me, James, or I will invent a manna-sucker-outer.

Be nice to me, James

Umm...  It appears that I already have been...  ::lookaround::

Well, it's easy and enjoyable to be nice to Janine, since that's such a pretty name.  It's also a pleasure to be nice to James, since a fellow by that name wrote a very instructive letter which appears in the Bible.

That would be Jaime in the Spanish Bible!  ::nodding::

In the German "Luther Uebersetzung" it would be Jacobi!

Have a Manna, and God bless!

Hmm, so then a person who has many posts and only one manna for example would possibly feel as though He is disagreed with often and or discouraged.

Ewigkeit

a  a is something I sometimes give and kinda like to receive; but it isn't an end-all for me.  I am myself, and if anyone has a constructive criticism, I'm always open to hear it, but not having a ton of Manna is not a discouragement to me.
