Nah.  They exhaust themselves way before then and their semen count drops too low to impregnate.   Overused bulls are a sure way to lose the farm.

What this has to do with marriage, I'll never know. But the answer your question, buy the cows. Bulls, heifers, calf's, etc.. If you have the money to buy 1000 bulls, it really wouldn't matter would it? Just double the herd.
