I just wanted to mention this place, www.LordsArt.com , I think it's awesome.  I bought a print there to give my son after his dedication.  I spoke at the dedication about the fruits we bear, so it was perfect.  ( http://www.lordsart.com/abidingjohn155.html ).  The one I REALLY wanted was this  ( http://www.lordsart.com/thismybesonc.html ) but I could by no means afford it. :)  I wanted him to have something we could keep in our home now, but he could take with him when he grows up.  If he ever strays, perhaps looking at it will remind where his heart belongs.

I wrote to the owner and asked for help finding just the right thing, and she sent me this wonderful list of links and suggestions... we ended up getting in an email conversation and you can clearly see her faith is strong and "real".  I wanted to mention her site because I find that having pieces of art around help remind us when at times we falter; and also state the presence of the Lord in our homes whenever some bad spirit tries to get sneaky.

I am by no means affiliated with this site; and besides, all I know about art is "hey that's pretty".  ::smile::  I like to buy from fellow Christians if/when I can and I also like to buy gifts like these hoping that one day when someone is discouraged or something they'll look at it and be uplifted.  I gave my mailman something with "As for me and my house, we shall serve the Lord" on it last year, and he was tickled.

Those are beautiful paintings. I've always thought that those kinds of paintings of Jesus were comforting even if He didn't look exactly that way. Our brains still assign that face to Jesus and that's not a bad thing.

I hadn't thought about that (Jesus' face), I guess because I have seen similar pictures all my life.  I found that one I couldn't afford absolutely inspiring - the sunlight, Jesus' arms raised up to the Lord, "This is my beloved Son"... it just made me "understand" a little better what God gave us.  I wish I could afford to fill my house with some of this, I constantly need to be reminded of so many things.

Just wanted to mention that LordsArt.com gives 10% Off with coupon code mcb10 if anyone is looking for an awesome Christmas gift.  I love this place.  I'm not sure when it expires but I know it will be good through Christmas anyway.

I wonder if she does wholesale. I would love to incorporate these paintings into my site. www.trinitymerchandise.com
