                                I'M NOT GONNA WALK

                                I'm not gonna walk
                                in the ways of the devil,
                                or the ways of cain,
                                for I want to go back
                                home again.
                                I'm not gonna walk
                                like I did before
                                when I was standing
                                at death's door.
                                I'm not gonna walk
                                in the ways of death at all,
                                for I will succumb to it,
                                and I will fall.


                                I'm not gonna walk
                                in the ways of sin,
                                for I will pay for it
                                in the end.
                                I have lived a life
                                that was degraded to the core,
                                but I'm not gonna walk                                     
                                that road anymore.
                                I'm not gonna walk a road
                                devoted to me,
                                but to the one who gave me
                                sweet tranquility.
                                I'm not gonna walk for me alone,
                                for I walk with the Lord
                                all the way home.
                                We walk side by side,
                                and in him I take consolation,
                                and I confide.
                                I'm not gonna walk
                                in the old ways anymore,
                                for he's who I'm living for.
