I let this friend set me up with a guy long distance. Well we chatted online for a little while and he was really nice. 1st mistake I gave him the house cell number. We talked for a while last night and in the process of the call he started accusing me of not liking him and screaming at me for no reason well unfortunately I don't handle being yelled at very well and I started crying. I told him that I needed to go to bed and I didn't think it was a good idea that we talk anymore. Anyone you just meet who makes you upset like that just doesn't seem like it would make a good relationship to me. Well today he kept trying to pm me on yahoo, I finally just blocked him because he started to act really really creepy. Saying that he was going to make the relationship work whether I liked it or not. Which was creepy anyhow because I never said anything about wanting to date him as far as I knew we were just talking. Well I had to block him on my messenger and for safety messure I changed my IM address as well. Well now he wont quit calling and he is restricting his number and when I finally answered it and told him if he didn't stop I was gonna call the cops he started saying things like "You made me like this?" and "Its all your Fault". My mind is screaming stalker and I don't know what to do I feel stupid for giving him the number should I call the cops?

It is probably a youthful passion deluding him.

If the police caution him, then he will probably behave himself in the future.

I did wait, and he hasnt called again. Helps that it was a cell phone he had the number too. Learned my lesson and wont do that again thats for sure!

Yes, and right now!  Please never give out your phone number, address or your real name to ANYONE online.  Or even strangers you meet in daily life.  You should change your cell number immediately too.  Please don't delay making a police report. 

Yeah.  He shouldn't be yelling at you for any reason, especially if you don't even know him that well.  Imagine how much worse he could get.... I would consider changing my number if he spaszed out on me like that.  I can see how you want to meet someone, even if it's online, and I personally have debated giving my number out to a guy online, but after reading your post, I will have to give it some more consideration, and maybe get to know him online a little better and just write to him. 

I am sorry you had to go thru this!  He is definitely a CREEP!!!!  Hopefully scary guys like this don't ruin the reputation of nice guys who are trying to meet girls online (or in person). 

I have to tell you, even if you meet a guy in person, he can still turn out to be a crrreeeep. 

I meet this (somewhat older) guy at my church.  He was about 50.  I am 30.  He asked me if I would like to go out for lunch sometime.  I was considering this as just two fellow believers having coffee and sharing a conversation.  DUH!!!  He was considering it, I like this girl, she is cute, she is young!  She said Yes!  Yippee !!! 

So, we went out, we shared some personal stuff from our past, how we both overcame sexual addictions, bla bla bla.  Then a few months later, after talking only limited times on the phone and having only ever seen eachother in church besides the one lunch "date", he said something really disgusting to me...He said "i have to confess....I have had thoughts of (insert really explicit details here) ".  To which my response was.  OH MY Gosh.  You realllllllly shouldn't have told me that!!!  I mentioned something to some of my friends from church, and one of them told the Pastor, and unfortunately my Pastor took these things very seriously and had the guy kicked out of the house (sponsored by my church) where he was staying and asked him to leave the church.  And asked him not to speak to me again.  It was a very serious punishment for the poor guy.  But I was totally grossed out by what he said.  Although the punishment for him, was admittedly, rather harsh.  I did not intend for him to get kicked out of his house, I only wanted to share this with my friend, but she insisted that the Pastor know what was up. 

So, I also have had experiences with crrrreeeeeppppy guys!  Love ya sister!

Seriously, the guys a loon.  Call the cops and maybe change the cell number along with any other way he can contact you.  Please tell us he doesn't know where you live.

I agree with everyone else...change your number.  If has you address, call the cops.

He has no clue where I live, I never ever ever give out that information. And he hasnt called since that day. But it was the house cell and not my personal cell...so I'm not really worried. But thank you all...

Tho I doubt he was sain and I turned him crazy...thats a little harsh don't you think? I mean its not my fault the guy is a nut job.

With a phone #, you can find what city and state someone lives in.  If he has your full name too, it's probably possible to locate you.  I'd give the police a "heads up."
