I would like to take this time to start ones day, by greeting one another for the starting of the members day.

Hello everyone may your day be filled with a touch of comfort from the Holy Spirit.

G'day, and may his riches, and blessings overflow to all.

Thanks for the encouraging words.  I taught a wonderful lesson about Jonah in Sunday school this morning.  The basic summary of the story of Jonah is "Do what God tells you to do - OR ELSE!  But, after the people of Nineveh repented and turned to God, Jonah was so mad, he went and sat outside the city gate and watched the city, so mad he wanted to die.

At this point, the people of Ninevah are no longer the focus, (they're busy fasting and worshiping God_ - it's the condition of Jonah's heart that is the issue.  His heart was very bitter and angry, and the rest of the book his heart was never changed.  The book of Jonah ends with God rebuking Jonah for being more concerned about the "gourd" that God placed than he was about the repentance of the people of Nineveh.  Hmmmm.....  I wonder how often we've been more concerned about our own needs and feelings than the spiritual condition of someone else.

I had never looked at Jonah quite this way before, but it was a really interesting study and lesson.

Hope everyone else has had a really rewarding, Christ-filled day.

A happy good morning to one and all, may everyone have a great day! ::hug::
