Why would I lick stamps? I haven't bought a stamp that required sticking in years. Maybe some people just lick them for fun?

I don't think I've licked one George's fiance died from licking all those cheap envelopes for their wedding invitations. That was a shame.

Come to think of it, I haven't licked a postage stamp since Troy fell to the Greeks. I guess it's safe to say that licking stamps won't make many people obese.

I don't! Whenever I have to use snail mail, I always use self-sticking stamps...They're really the rage nowadays.

Of course anything whatsoever can happen in a drama or sitcom. I suppose such an allergic reaction could actually occur in real life, though I've never heard of it.
