NBC is taking a poll-  should In God We Trust be removed from our currency!   How many more ways is this country going to move toward Sodom and try and remove our God and Savior the foundation of our lives and once our country?

Stand up and be counted for our God!

I voted no but they might as well since He might even have a hard time getting a loan these days,

Amen! LOL

So far 85% are saying it should stay.  (over 11 million responses so far)

That's good enough for liberals to fight to have it removed.

Bonnie

My prayer is that no one will take my question as offensive because I have wondered about this so often.
How do we know God wants on our money?  Considering what he said about Cesar?

Liberal spin: "An undeniably large percentage of Americans want the phrase off the dollar bill. It is clear that America has spoken"

Christians: "umm...what percentage exactly?" The Liberals were contacted but were not immediately available for comment. (Classic Journalism phrase)

No offense taken at all. God clearly doesn't want our currency. He surely wants us to bless others with the purchases "from our currency". But I'm also confused about the phrase on the dollar bill as well. Why do we trust God that our dollar bill is worth something? Its definitely a confusing concept, at least to me.

And if the phrase is a generality, doesn't have any affiliation with the bill...just saying we trust God...then why is it on the bill? Ritual, I would assume, a method of symbolism.

Maybe not.  Some claim that He is a loser.

I'm sure the anti-religion NBC will be disappointed with the final results of their poll.  Most people, even secular ones, don't want it removed from our money because of it's traditional and historical significance.

Jon-Marc

This is far from being a Christian nation, and few people actually trust in God--including many who claim to be Christians. However, I see nothing wrong with having those words on our currency. The vote so far is 85% for keeping the words.

Yes, that makes sense. A sort of custom.

If I send you my address, will you bless me with some purchases from your currency?  ::tippinghat::

This is an old poll that gets brought up every once in a while through emails.  There was a thread about it last August here, and it was old then.

We know because it's still on there after so many years.  If God didn't want to be on it, God would have done something by now already.

I don't think so.  There's many things going on that God's not in but all will be taken care of in His time.

I do not know if you have noticed, or are even aware that the minority in our society are served; not the majority. The majority of our country wanted prayer to remain in our schools; it hasn't. Even a pledge of allegiance is threatened. You can mention near anything concerning any religious thing except that wonderful name of Jesus, lest you offend some.

I personally believe these things must come to pass as we see men waxing worse, and even Christians giving up assembling one with another; they do not see the handwriting on the wall as to the signs of the times. God bless you all that attempt to honor God in your vote, but I have not seen effectual response of the world to anything we do, or ask for. There is still abortion clinics making much money killing children, and even supported with taxes. Remember that God can promote or put down anything He wants to at its proper timing with His will; nothing is hard for the Lord.

God bless you all in Jesus' name - larry2

So does it bother anybody that this is an old, out-of-date poll?  Should we start circulating the petition that Madelyn Murray O'Hair is trying to outlaw religious broadcasting again?

OneLung

I like the one where the U.S. Government is going to start charging a 1 cent tax for every email to make up for USPS losses.

Bon Voyage

I am mad at her for not outlawing TBN.  That channel is a bunch of drivel.
