Last night I had a dream about meeting a woman in a school and she was a teacher there. She started complimenting me about some skill I had in some school stuff that I don't know about now and she sat on my lap, all this happened in a matter of seconds and I had no control over it and I was confused as to why she was after me. After the small talk there was a mirror behind her and I could see myself and her naked. I remember that in my mind I was talking to myself "what are you doing?" and another side of me said "what the hell" (like letting it go). Then we started to have sex and after I realised what was happening I tried to let go and woke up.
After this I felt like I did a terrible thing, and on the other side I felt someone tried to trick me into something, I felt terrible.
Now, I said sometime during this month to the devil that he will never be able to trick me into cheating on my wife, like I was trying to dare him, don't know why, but the thought just came to my head because I always thought cheaters are terrible persons and that I could never do such a thing.

I wonder if all dreams have meanings like the story of the 7 fat cows and 7 thin cows.

Does anyone think I have cheated on my wife in some way? :(

P.S.: Sorry for the terrible writting, but I write as it comes to my head... english is not my main language too.

A dream is something that we cant control so don't worry. Ask God to take away the guilt feeling and move on.

Dreams are strange things. In my first marriage I occasionally had dreams that my ex husband cheated on me, and I used to wake up in tears, yet during the day I never even thought about him doing that so that was very strange.

Perhaps never say to Satan or to anyone else that this or that could never happen to you, as we are all vulnerable and weak in some areas and all needs Gods strength to resist temptation. I hope and pray that I would never be unfaithful to my husband, as like you, I think it is appalling, but a dream is just a dream. Now if you had been looking at porn or fantasising about another woman  then you would be at least partly responsible but give it to God and let it go is my advise. 

Many people love to puff themselves up by saying "I would never do something some horrible."

However, the Bible tells us that pride comes before a fall, a haughty spirit before destruction.  It also tells us God hates pride.

I would encourage you to humble yourself before the Lord and let Him lift you up.  Spend time in His Word and in prayer.  Do not give the devil an opening by being proud.  Walk in humility with our Father and let Him guide your steps.

I don't know if I can call this being proud... I'm just sure that I wouldn't cheat on my wife, and on top of that I have no reason to, and may God keep me this way.

But would be sinful to be "proud of yourself" when you accomplish something good?

There is a difference between being proud and having pride.

For example, let's say that you save the company thousands of dollars.

Saying, "I saved the company thousands of dollars!"  is being proud.
Saying, "I am the best employee of the company, completely indispensible!" is having pride.

See the difference?

That is what I meant when people claim, "I would never do something so horrible."

It's one thing to remain faithful, and know you are a faithful person; it's another to brag about your faithfulness.  Does that make sense?

I think dreams have diferrent uses..Sometimes they are a way of us relieving stress and working things out..Soemtimes they are a sign of something we are afraid of and or are worried about that we aretn facing awake or maybe even that we are facing awake.

Sometimes I truly believe dreams are a super awareness of what is to come soon.(NOT that your in this case is).

And I think sometimes they are random working out of things with no sense whatsoever..

I have dreeamed probably 1,000 times that I can fly..

I have dreamed that Im in a tornado...(probably 100 or 200 times)

I have dreamed Im in a strange city and I have to catch a ride home but I cant find my things..or I cant find my neice or son or someone who is with me so I dont go and then Im stuck in this strange city (I have dreamed that prabably 40 or 50 times)

I have dreamed that my teeth are falling out ..so many variations of that and times I wont even give it a number..

I have sex dreams too a lot ..mostly if Its been a while since I have had sex with my husband usually he in it.But sometimes not..

I believe the way a person looks at marriage in general effects the out come, and maybe their dreams too? Has nothing to do with pride. I believe that my marriage is an absolute necessity to reach my desired goal. The importance of my marriage in the place of my salvation and exaltation cannot be overstated. Infidelity, well, that is a pride problem.

Fortunately, God is strong and my wife was forgiving.  I wish before I committed adultery I had seen what it would do to me and to her.

Amen Stucky. Without Jesus we would all be lost, as we have all sinned and come short. By the way you are a PAST and FORGIVEN adulterer, you are not one anymore.

I feel like I am not trying to have pride in this situation because no one here actually knows me. In real life I don't say any of this things to others.
Since I was a child I always wondered why men cheated on their wives. I saw my mother get spiritually devastated by it because my father was a drunk and had many affairs. She told me how she had to take care of him as if he was a baby and clean his vomit from the ground when he comes home too drunk. After that my mother lost faith in God and wondered about; during this time she had many men which she was not married to and everytime she felt even worse because she knew she was doing something wrong, she was too deeply hurt at the time. But now she came to her senses and is back to God. So with all this I have learned the repercussions of cheating on someone, if it wasn't obvious already.
The other day when I "dared the devil", I was mad at myself for looking at some girl's body and thinking about it, then I came to my senses and screamed in my head "HAH! You snake will never make me fall!" (or something like that..). I know that I had already sinned by looking at this girl, but I am happy that I can always stop it from going any further. I find it that sometimes it is really hard to control the mind, as if we are not really in control of it and the animal in us takes over. My hopes remain in Christ and that the Holy Spirit will make my mind stronger so that I can finally ignore the flesh desires.

You are clearly aware of the temptations and that is half the battle. For those who say it will never happen to me, they are naive.We will all battle with somethings until the day that we die. It is part of being human.
Its totally understandable why you are so against affairs after your parents story, its so sad, and it must have made you determined to be different from your dad, so good for you.
Don't worry about the dream though. Talk to God about it and let it go. Satan is so sneaky and will try to get at us in many ways.Keep being faithful and keep fighting temptation and you will get there.  I think that it is the people who don't even recognise their own weaknesses and sins that I would worry about.

You're a good man.  Keep talking to God and keep yourself out of situations where you would cheat.  don't go into bars or places where it is easy to cheat.  When you see a girl that attracts you, turn away and think of your wife.  Keep her picture in your head and think how hurt she would be if you did anything with another.

She deserves your love, your respect and your faithfulness.  Remember, how would YOU feel if she cheated on you?

God bless you.  I have the same dreams.  I LOVE the flying dreams even when I'm having a hard time controling the flight.  I've had four very real dreams where I met or saw God/Jesus.  In one I was coming back to Christ after having started abandoning Him for the occult.  God had someone put Hal Lindsey's book "Late Great Planet Earth" in the occult section and I found it and it was a revelation to me and brought me back to reading scripture.  I was kind of worried about myself and I had a dream where Jesus and I were riding in a Jeep and I turned off the road and went up a mountain covered in big boulders and it was really rough driving.  Jesus turned to me and said "Your life is going to be like this ride, rough and bumpy, but you are going to make it to the top of the mountain."  I believed then and believe now that He was telling me I was going to Heaven when this life is over.  Another time I was flying and I flew almost straight up toward a bright light I thought was the sun.  All of a sudden my view shifted to my face and in my dream I said "God".  I didn't get to see His face.  I woke up.  One more, I dreamed I had gotten to Heaven and my "mansion" was a one bedroom apartment, new, but it had rust on the chrome strips holding the formica on the walls and cabinet tops.  I was unhappy about that when Jesus said, "See Richard?  You're just never satisfied."

Kimberley I cant go along with what you said about dreams coming true. Many here have dreamt about flying. Is that going to come true?Many people dream that their teeth fall out. Apparently that is a sign of stress, but it doesnt mean that it is going to come true. I am sure many here have dreamt all sorts of weird things that never have and never will come true.
I once dreamt that my dad was in the army and got his head cut off in a war. Guess what, it never cane true, and he died of cancer in his late 60's.

Maybe if a person has been imagining having sex with a person when they are married to another, or they have been looking at porn, that may come out in a dream, and that would be a warning that the person needs to stop those wrong thoughts,and those thinsg they are doing, but to tell a man who has had sex with a women in a dream that it will happen one day isnt right.
