My husband of 25 years is going to be coming into the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil. I was away from my faith for a number of years and I thank God and the Holy Spirit for leading me back into His loving arms.
My husband has never been baptized and I can only imagine his emotion and mine on this wonderful occasion. Hope people will not mine me shedding tears of joy!
I do have a question though that he forgot to really ask about at last dismissal. What all is involved with the Right of Sending which happens on Saturday night at our Parish and the Right of Election which happens Sunday at the Cathedral? Will he have to get up and speak at all?

He is getting nervous that he will have to speak and end up screwing it up and says all he wants to do is please God. I told him that he already is pleasing Him and that even if he would screw something up that God is forgiving and it will not be a big deal.

Any thoughts anyone?

He will have to answer a few questions along with the rest of the people in RCIA at the Rite of Sending, then go and sign his name in the book. At the Cathedral, I don't think he has to say anything. At least that is how "practice" went for my wife the other day. Congratulations to both of you, and good luck tomorrow.

Congratulations to him, Bandit!  I'm sure he will do fine.  ::clappingoverhead::

I went thru Rite of Election last sunday. It was a wonderful experience and nothing that will single him out. Congratulations!
