Hey guy's my name is Daniel and I got saved in 06. I've been single for 5 yr's and I'm just worn out about this. You know my faithfuk friends say it will happen but I'm losing faith. I'm very shy and I think there is a big chunk right there the problem. But also I think God want me with a fervent Christian that will help me on my journey/ Any advice pls on this!!

Wanting a mate to help you on your "spiritual journey" is a disaster waiting to happen.

Marriage is all about two independant & fully capable & able souls joining together to do more giving, more service, more loving. Receiving anything is not an object of the exercise.

Daniel, only God knows when this will happen. All you can do is just get involved in a lot of things at church with people of your age and help out and meet others that way.Make friends with guys and girls and see what develops.
My son is getting married next year, and he is 32, so sometimes it takes time, but for him it was worth the wait as she is LOVELY.

Okay maybe I'm missisng the point on the whole thing. IDK tho. I'm just learning these things and I hope I some to a place to accept I'm single and move on with my life.

It isnt wrong to want another person in our lives, in fact it is totally normal. I always wanted to get married and have kids which I did at a young age. When my marriage ended after 25 years and I was single again for 6 years, I had to try and accept the fact that I may never marry again as I was in my 40's and Christian guys of that age who arent married are rare, but I still hoped and prayed for a husband and after that time I met my now husband and married.
Keep on praying for that special girl but try to enjoy life now as well. Enjoy being single and the freedom that you have being young, but trust God for that special lady.

I'm with sonicwhite.  Accept youu're single and move on with your life.  Until you accept that you may be in a season of singleness or may be single the rest of your life, you will be disatisfied.  Jesus calls come to be single.  What  if you are one of those?  I knew a gal who said she couldn't be happy unless she was married (so didn't believe she was called to be single)...but after she married, she left ehr husband for another man.  Something was n ot whole in her, and that wholeness does not come from being with another person who "completes" you.  Wholeness comes from your relationship with Jesus Christ.  Work on knowing Christ, not on knowing a woman.  Do not make the goal of singleness marriage.  Make the goal of singleness what the goal of all of us should be:  living in love and service to Jesus.

I cant offer you advice, because I am in the same situation as you.  I struggle a lot being single and there is not a minute that goes by without me thinking about it.  I have gone to 2 huge college bible studies, and been on several dating websites, but I am still single.  I am decent looking, tall, outgoing, and a college graduate, so there is nothing wrong with me but that is just how it goes.  The most that I can do is keep myself busy with uplifting things, hence why I just started a masters degree.  All my family and friends tell me to pray about it because God brought them somebody, so I will pass that advice onto you.  But that doesn't make life easy, because it still feels extremely unlikely.  Praying just seems like it would be too easy to accomplish such a task, but I have been searching for some simple piece of fact or analogy to make this easy, but that has proven useless.  So I guess the answer is still to pray about it....  Good luck my friend, your not alone.   ::reading::

I've been praying about it since the age of 22, and I'm 48 now...and then, people tell me to just be patient.  Can't decide whether to  ::frown:: or  ::crackup::  So, in the process, I had to learn to live with singleness.  Obviously, God doesn't want me married as much as I've prayed about it.  I believe that God has a timing and a purpose (I know it doesn't always match ours) for all things.  So, we just have to pray that, single or married, we live our lives in honor to God.  And we don't necessarily need to fill our lives with pursuing things like another degree.  When we spend our days pursuing Jesus, He becomes the missing part of us -- He satisfies and fulfills us as no human ever could.  That was singleness has taught me:  that Jesus is the ONLY ONE we truly and really need to be complete and whole.
