How did you get saved ?

I will start this off with mine !

I was born and baptized a Catholic.    Went to the school for 6 years, received
all that was required of me.
I was brought up in a time were you did as you were told by your parents and
the priest and the nuns.
No questions ever.  That was the way it was.
We used a prayer book and rosary, nothing else!
Got married had children and they were brought up Catholic also.
When they grew up , they started to try other churches.
And just left the Catholic religion .
One day I found a track one son was giving to the other son.
I looked it over and told him never do I want this in our home.
It was asking what the priest is doing in the back room ?
Hokes Pokes ?    That was enough for me.

Then one day one son had a fight, I have no idea why, only that he  won.
And the other fellow told him , at least I am going to heaven were you are not !
Well , that scared him, and me also.
We looked in the phone book for a church for him to go to.
And found one, eventually  we all became saved.

    John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
   

As a Catholic I had to save myself !   I had to go to confession every week .

Now I know Christ died for the sins of the world and who ever will believe and have faith will be saved ! 

   Gal 2:21  I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
