Mr. Charisma

I just wanted to take a minute to post on these boards. I wanted to say, for all the men here, how do you remind yourself that you have a voice and a contribution to the world? Oft times, it is easy to sit back and say that someone or someone else have very effortless and obvious gifts, someone else may appear more popular, more well-spoken, can attract the opposite sex a little easier. How do you settle within your own soul that you will not be envious of someone else...

Even in the face of others (not just your own mind) sometimes telling you, well, you aren't "as good" or implying that? This is an area I have dealt with for most of my life, many times I was on the wrong end of comparisons for various things, mostly things I cannot change about myself. How do you relax and just let yourself ease into your own skin, without feeling the need to impress?

There are plenty of men in the scriptues that you can identify with, Moses for one.
It is good that you are not worried about social acceptance, Jesus wasn't . Paul was.
I find that obedience to the direction of the Holy spirit is best, in so many ways ,that obedience, licenses me to act on God's behalf for others, either to speak or to help as He directs. it is a great life.

I can tell myself that it doesn't matter what others think of me; but I do need to make sure with God that I am right.

There is one woman who seems so loving, can so charm me and attract me, but I can be wondering if I'm good enough for her. But I have ones who are really good examples to me of how I need to relate in love, and these people never make me feel like I'm less than they are and I always know where I stand with these people. So, if I'm starting to be like a beggar for handouts of attention and affection from a charming lady and I'm wondering if she wants me, etc., I'd say I need to really get to know her, and find out what she needs.

I'm noticing how someone can be so charming and attractive and acting so loving: she can give out moments of affection but does not stay really involved with anyone and can not accept having others helping her, but can be very strong at the microphone and in singing so beautifully, but has to control. So, instead of falling for all that lovie-dovey stuff, and being like a beggar trying to get her to give me handouts of attention and affection and approval, I really need to get to know her and see how I can be a good example for her and love her and never mind what I might want to use her for.
