Hello everyone, I am from a small town in Pennsylvania, and I have been assigned to do a project on sexual education. I would really appreciate to hear a Christian parent's perspective on how you think sexual education should be taught to children. Any opinion would help tremendously!

Thank you in advance, god bless!

I think some of it would depend on the age group that you will be teaching.

My girls are quite young, yet, but it's something that I've thought about since our 6 yr. old has started asking some questions & it's almost impossible to avoid it on TV or commercials anymore.  When I've thought about it, I've come to the conclusion that I would only want the school to teach the biological aspect of it (how it works, what diseases can be communicated, birth control methods, pregnancy, etc.).  I wouldn't want the school to tell my child that it is OK to start having sex at such & such an age, or discuss the more pleasurable aspects of sex.  I believe that is something that should be handled by the Christian parent so that the Biblical views & beliefs can be taught.  You hear more & more that the schools are almost instructing the students on having sex rather than teaching what sex is.

Thank you for seeking a Christian view point on the subject!

We home school so we have control over what they are mostly taught...If they went to a public school they wouldn't go to the sex ed classes...No problem there.
