Hi accacc,

Just because a guy has never married means he is bad ?  What would make you think that ?  Maby he doesn't like all the drama. He might just prefer to be by himself.

I am 42 and never been married. I have not gotten anything to work out with the wemon I have dated. I have a feeling that if I would have married one of them, I would be divorced. I got tired of putting myself out there and trying to have a relationship and told God that I quit, I am not doing it anymore. I haven't been on a date in about 10 years. Does this make me a bad guy ? I don't think so. If I happen to meet a woman and we get along great and become best friends, then I would love to get married. But I am not going out of my way to try and make that happen. I have tried that and for me, it doesn't work.

Hi accacc,

Correct me if I'm wrong, although are referring to men that are committment phobics?

*disclamer* OP was gender specific, I do understand that there are female committment phobics also.

If a guy has had a couple short relationships and then stopped dating, I would say each guy who does this can be different.

It could be commitment phobia, yes.

It could be the guy found the relationships to be a drag, and then he assumed future relationships would be, which would be a mistake since not all women are alike . . . I offer ::smile:: lolololololololol

But, in my case, I have found that a woman might not know what she is doing, and so she is not going to know what to do with me. And so, now I be more careful about wanting someone without getting to know her, so it takes more time to get with someone for an involvement. There are a number of women who can put out the attraction bait, but then they do not know what to do when they catch something. Look at this thing I caught off the bottom; why do I keep catching slippery suckers ??? and slimy horned pouters with spikes on their sides that jab me ??? How do I unhook this thing ???

I think 1 Peter 3:1-4 might give a lady an idea of how to attract a man to obey God, instead of using other attraction.

A guy might also find out that the really all-right ladies already have a life of loving and caring for a lot of people, so they may not be very available. And so, one guy might break up since he's not getting the attention he wants only for himself; another might not be breaking up, but easing up because he admires how the really Christian ladies are being good for all the people who need them.

So, not all guys may be doing things for the same reason.

And if a guy adventures into being involved with and loving a number of Christian ladies, he "might" enjoy discovering how they can have different love reasons for things they do > he might ask them, and discover ::smile:: A really Christian woman is not going to be all about him, I offer ::smile:: 1 Corinthians 7:29

And yes I would offer things in a guy's blog if you find him to be about Jesus. And you can ask him if he wants you to continue, I would say, if you have a question about this. But being able to pray and make sure with God is very good to be able to do, since we guys might not give you the best advice ::smile:: I think a really Christian man will want you to test in prayer > trust him, yes, but part of trusting can include how he wants you to trust him by making sure with God and not just going by whatsoever he says or seems to want > make sure you really do understand what he wants > not all guys mean the same thing, by things they do and say. Get to know each one.

Oh, and another thing > a guy might back off so he can see if and how a lady is growing in Jesus. It's not smart to judge a Christian woman by how she is at any one point in time, since she is growing into being a person she has never been before, in God's loving. You will need to keep discovering each other ::smile::
