This is appalling. I cant believe that any true believer would sit in a church while the koran is being read. I would be out of there immediatly.

I believe that the pope will be very much at the leadership of this evil interfaith movement, as he has shown already.

p.rehbein

My Church will be reading from The Holy Bible this Sunday.......................I supose others can read from what they wish.........shoot, they could even read from the Sunday Comics Section iff'in they want................but we will be reading from The Word of God.

Outreach, as an expression of mutual respect between faiths is one thing.  But it does not yet appear that the Muslims are reciprocating.  It's beginning to look as if Christians are trying to placate Muslims.. not good.

Why would the pope do such a thing?

You had better ask him because I have no idea. He is very involved in the interfaith movement though and his kissing of the koran shows that he isnt bothered who he bows to.

Heart breaking news.   ::frown:: I will never understand why people would exchange the Truth for a lie, but the Word says they will.  ::cryingtears::

They that do such, as well as any which support such, do not represent the Lord Jesus Christ, but only their own appetite.

That  Lutheran church mentioned is  in full communion and fellowship  with the papacy of rome ..

their leadership hates old lutheran beliefs in the bible.. This church mentioned above also

is not in communion and fellowship with Lutheran churches and congregations   that subscribe to the Lutheran confessions .

Epitome of the Formula of Concord
Comprehensive Summary, Rule and Norm According to which all dogmas should be judged, and the erroneous teachings [controversies]that have occurred should be decided and explained in a Christian way.

1] 1. We believe, teach, and confess that the sole rule and standard according to which all dogmas together with [all] teachers should be estimated and judged are the prophetic and apostolic Scriptures of the Old and of the New Testament alone, as it is written Ps. 119:105: Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. And St. Paul: Though an angel from heaven preach any other gospel unto you, let him be accursed, Gal. 1:8.

2] Other writings, however, of ancient or modern teachers, whatever name they bear, must not be regarded as equal to the Holy Scriptures, but all of them together be subjected to them, and should not be received otherwise or further than as witnesses, [which are to show] in what manner after the time of the apostles, and at what places, this [pure] doctrine of the prophets and apostles was preserved.

The churches that will read from the koran next sunday . Guess what they Are also those  churches that alow  any and all denominations  to go to their alter
to take the Lords supper with them ..

They are the churches THAT WILL AGREE TO DISAGREE WITH you over doctrine  . So they can have fellowship with you any way  ..
youi will never see them turning down Aunt Magie  from taking the Lords supper with them .. no matter HOW MANY anti Christian beliefs she may have..
yup they are the ones that will love a person all the way to hell. no matter what they believe ...

they are also the ones that say how hateful other christians  are ,, Because  That wont agree to disagree .. but want  unity iN THE BELIEFS THE BIBLE PRESENTS.

and care enough when some one is wrong to say so..

you know
Those mean  churches that dont want to love you all the way to hell ,, but want you in heaven with them instead .

and wont let you commune unless you subscribe to Gods  truths..

My take is this;

There is nothing wrong with "inter-community". I know a lot of Muslims, they actually tend to be a bit more intelligent then other peoples. But "Inter-Faith"..... That's fine if its coming from a church marked as "interfaith" but a supposed Christian church reading from the Quran is down right wrong. I know a lot of Christians that do not study theology but go to church and they fully trust their pastors instead. So reading the Quran to masses at huge intercity churches is downright evil and an attack against Christianity. Also the fact that the pope supports interfaith shows me that there is something bad going on behind the doors in Catholicism.

On a side note, interfaith is dumb. No matter which book they are reading, the books make it clear that their book is the correct one and preaching a different book is a major sin. So anyone who believes in a Christian/Islam merge does not believe in either book apparently.

comfy

But if the pope kissed a book witch denies that Jesus is Lord of all and died for us, then he can be associated with the effort to compromise to Islam "or some fake version of Islam". Maybe it was a lookalike, though, and the real pope was elsewhere. I can't legally prove this, either way ::smile:: I would not kiss a book that denies Jesus.

This whole world religion thing can be meant partly to decoy our attention away from God. Jesus says, "'Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.'" (Matthew 21:28) So, it looks like Jesus does not expect us to be surprised, and He says our attention needs to be "up".

JohnDB

According to the Moslems that are devout Moslems a Christian touching a Koran defiles it. It is then worthless...not fit to read.

Jesus said about the Hellenistic worshipers that they were pigs. The following of "other gods" did in fact get many Christ followers slaughtered.

"Do not fear those that can kill the body & then do no more..."

JohnDB

Actually you are wrong. I have many friends from a list of countries to include: China, Egypt, & Ethiopia. I know all too well what they did to survive. Not a one of them has ever for a minute bowed their knee to the moslems much less picked up a koran. They all believe to do so would be their death as God would no longer protect them.

YES, they trusted God for their lives, not any religious leader.

If you don't mind how sharing, how did your friends get out of those situations?

JohnDB

They didn't do anything. That would be what you would call a miracle. It happened often enough for them that no matter what they faced they humbly would not acquiesce to moslem beliefs or atheist beliefs or whatever anyone who was demanding that they do so. The stories they tell are hair raising. But the success of their escapes is only attributable to God.
Not a one of them believe that any religious leader can "strike a deal" that would actually have any effect. Egyptians know this "deal" only too well. They have one in place currently.

And one other thing.
I'm a construction electrician. I don't have an easy chair or a laptop at the moment. I have a cell phone & a bag of tools. I currently am working on a new Special Forces building that is designed to help wipe out our little moslem extremist problem that the whole world is facing. FYI.

The Moslem Extremist problem is going to be wiped out by... a building?  That's gotta be some wicked wiring.  Are you sure that you are following code?  :P

Thats great. You're doing a little more than most of the posters on this site. However America is not attempting to solve religious intolerance and the violence in other countries. We have a specific goal in mind and that is one fashion of the terrorist cells and trust its not the only terrorist cell in existence.

Also you should've been briefed if you're one of our contractors. Some things should not be mentioned on public forums.

Curious  ::headscratch::

The testimonies I've heard have been that missionaries have helped get people out of these situations but only through building connections and repore with natives even natives who weren't of the Christian faith ergo i.e. pagans or Muslims. God is most certainly the Source of their liberation but His means are mysterious as He works through all people.

Are you sure you should be talking so openly on the World-wide web? There are informers are everywhere...

JohnDB

This is on a military base deep inside the USA.

If somehow they survive the rednecks & their guns they won't make it past the armed guards or the M-16s or the MPs or the security of this building.

I aint givin blueprints out. Or GPS coordinates.

JohnDB, killing Muslims is not something to brag or joke about. Regardless of who they are, they are still human. Just because the government calls them terrorist... well in the near future Christians and conservatives will be the new terrorists and god forbid a drone missile kills your entire family... Well you will realize that it is not funny.

Anyhow, I've been reading this whole debate. Here is my two cents on a scale 1 to 10 as to how bad these things are;

Pope kissing the Quran: 10
Protestant churches reading the Quran: 10

I have worked with Muslims before and they weren't extremists. They don't believe all that is told to them by the extremists. They don't want to kill us...they simply wish to live in peace like us Christians.

But they have a group of believers that want to kill all Christians and Jews.  In a similar fashion as many Lutherans wanted to kill all the Jews during the Second world war....or the Catholics wanted to kill the Jews during the Spanish Inquisition. Neither group spoke for the whole but they were in charge.

There are even fringe groups of Christianity that wish to kill abortion doctors and bomb their clinics....these sorts of things are insane.

When people are bent on genocide you have to kill them before they kill you.
Our government is doing just that and going to great pains to kill only those that wish us harm.  It didn't used to be this way. People would bomb an entire country just to get at a few. War was such a bloody thing then...today it is much more surgical in nature and a lot cleaner.

"Collateral damage" is at a real low point in history. Never mind the few reports that are blown way out of proportion and scope.

I remember when France used to have a problem with Muslim extremists years and years ago. They would find out who and where these people came from and then wipe out the whole village....there would be nothing left but sand and ashes.

Our American military is doing a fine fine job. This building helps them to do that job...no one is joking about that.

Muslims that believe and follow the Qur'an, believe in the destruction of the Jewish people.  On this issue, it has nothing to do with moderate or conservative.  The manner in which this is brought about does differ dramatically.  Regardless, in their final conquest of Israel, they do believe this is brought forth through violence.  The reason you hear about Islam being peaceful is because peace does exist once they have dominion over the world, according to the Qur'an.

JohnDB

I wish our pastor woulda read from the Koran today instead of the sermon he gave today.

*sigh*

Morality does not cause righteousness. It is the other way around. *sigh*

It appears to be the same as Parliment making laws in the Whithouse.
