I saw it a really enjoyed it.  Oh I could nit-pick a couple minor points - but I agree with you - it's a darn good story.  

By the way, I could watch Robert Duval sit on a log and talk for 2 hours.  He has such a way.  

Costner did a good job.   What a gun fight!!

Anybody seen this yet?
I saw it yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it.
It wasn't groundbreaking moviemaking, sort of a rehash of The Cowboys and Rio Bravo.  But it was entertaining; the direction was good, the cinematography was good, the dialog was not boring, and it had Robert Duval doing what he does best.  (Oh yeah, and Annette Bening :D )

Wife and I really enjoyed this one today.  Say what you will about Costner, but the man knows how to shoot guns... and movies, too.  He could have trimmed a bit as usual, but it still looked great.
