What Has Happened

I notice that there isn't much posting going on these days and am wondering what has happened.
Also,  we have several threads in the Theology forum that are about the same thing. One in particular is baptism and the question is spreading to threads that has nothing to do with it.

Bonnie, I've seen this type of thing happen on other forums.  (not about baptism though)   There are certain topics that are beaten to death.  Some people are really passionate about baptism done in a very precise way, being essential for salvation.  Others are on the other side of the fence, questioning the practice of water baptism all together.  I think sometimes it keeps people from the real issue. What are we here on earth to do?  What is out purpose?

Some people leave forums because of this type of activity.  I have a friend that left this site because of the way he was treated in the theology and political forums.

For the most part, I have decided to stay out of the theology forums, because the dogmatism I see demonstrated there really turns me off.

Sometimes I get overwhelmed with all the serious 'stuff' going on in my life... and I need to post something light.  At those times you'll see me posting in the Jokes, riddles and games forum... (or whatever it's called).

I think maybe you're just seeing the normal ebb and flow of activity that you will see on many forums.
