Okay, last week I bought this game for the PS3 and it is awesome!  The PS2 and Wii versions look like they aren't good.  The things I didn't like about the game were the fact that your mission changes from killing jedi to getting revenge, the lack of combos, and the challenge less bosses, especially on sith apprentice.  General Kota was way to easy and the bosses didn't "unleash the force" as I was planning they would and as the producers said.  I'm going through it again on the 2nd lowest difficulty and I really hope it'll be much harder on sith master.

What are your comments on the game?

The thing I lvoed about the wii version was the sheer number of combos.

To be honest though, I preffered jedi outcast and academy for gameplay. Obviously force unleashed has immense graphics but they screwed the saber play up completely.

Also I don't mind them expanding the story lines of star wars and what not. But they practically made a story line that completely undermines the original trilogy by basically saying, oh there was a saviour of the galaxy before luke, its just he had friends with him at the time and sacrificed himself.

I agree with the saber thing.  They needed to all an extra button to the combos.  The Wii version looks fun because it's like you're actually in the game fighting whoever, but I heard it was worse than the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions because you would pick a guy up and throw him left with the motion controls and he would go the complete opposite direction.  I don't know if this is true though.  I wish they would have mixed Episode 3's saber moves into Star Wars:TFU, with the good force powers and all.  That would have been an even better game!

I watched DH play it, and it looked interesting enough... but I'm still holding on to hope that they might do a Knights of the Old Republic 3 to finish off the storyline they started in KOTOR2.

KOTOR looks really good and sounds like it has a very deep story.  Is it worth it for an Xbox 360 alone?

I would say so, but I'm a big fan of RPGs... eventually I'm going to have to get a hard drive for the 360 so I can play them again.

The cool thing about KOTOR is that you can play good or evil, and what you do influences the characters. Of course, DH made fun of me b/c I could never play as a dark side character - it always made me feel so guilty I had to quit! LOL

Lol, I'm still kind of shaky on the 360 idea.  A good 360 will cost around $300, and that alone is quite a bit.  I got my PS3 for $450 (and that's including tax) and it's running fine and has some great exclusives.  Halo doesn't appeal to me that much and all the other exclusives for the 360 are rated M, which my mom only allows very few exceptions for.  I have Resistance Fall of Man and I'm getting Resistance 2 soon, but those are the only exceptions as of now.

Our biggest problem is that there just aren't that many Xbox games that are appropriate for our six-year-old. We're debating whether to try and get a Wii... I hate to spend the money on another console, but at least I know we could get a lot of good games for the whole family.

wolflet7

There are tons and tons of children games on the Wii and I heard that it is a good family console.  I don't have one, but I would advise maybe selling the 360 and buying a Wii, unless of course you have enough money right now for the Wii ($200+), a game or two ($40 for an old game-$120 for two new games), and at least 3 nunchucks and 3 Wii-motes (around $222 from my understanding, may be less or more) lol.

dude the most awesome thing about, force unleahed is not the gameplay which was cool, eventhough it lacked combos picking up little stormtroopers and throwing them about was cool, the most important thing is the story and how it fits in. for every true star wars fan out there we now know how the rebel alliance was formed. and the whole game played like star wars movie, from the camera angles to th fade outs and plot twists, when i finished the game it was like stepping out of episode 1, and being like 'this is where is starts'.

The story was pretty deep, as I expected it to be.  I do have one issue though.  I just can't get my mind off of the fact that Starkiller's powers grew way too quickly.  I mean, Vader thought that he couldn't kill Kota (yet he did) and then, it seems like a few days later Starkiller can take on the Emperor!
