Have you seen the previews for this Matt Damon movie, HereAfter. In it he plays a psychic who can communicate in some form with people who are dead. In the previews he provides comfort to a dying person in telling them that they won't be alone.

So maybe there's some positives to the HereAfter movie in that it will cause people to think about the next life and that kind of thing.
