I've gotten older
I've learned a lot:
It's not what I want,
It's what I've got.

Enough to eat,
The love of friends,
A faith in God
That never ends.

I'm more careful now
About what I say.
More thoughtful about
What I do with a day.

I have time for people
I didn't before;
I may not have money
But I'm really not poor.

There's a peace that runs deep
And joy to unfold
And I don't have to rush
Because now I am old.
