New to Jesus and This Site

Hello, I'm a recovering atheist, and have only recently come to accept Jesus Christ as my savior. My life was unhappy for so long, and I blamed it on everything from my parents to mental illness, but one day I went to church with my grandparents and it just, I don't know... clicked, and I felt this "connection" which I'm only just starting to embrace.

I have made the decision to commit to my faith rather than doubt for the sake of doubting (I used to post on atheist forums, and many of the members were very close-minded), and I'm happier than I have been in years. I'm still pretty ignorant about a lot of Christian teachings, but I'm learning new things every day, so I hope you'll be understanding if I'm not as knowledgeable about the Bible as I'm sure many of you are.

Hi Bat of the Lord.

I had a similar experience. I was an out gay man for many years like yourself. One day while I was having sex with my boyfriend at the time when suddenly I started having a strange religious experience.
I felt like somebody was speaking to me and telling me the right way to live my life. The more I listened the more it made sense to me. On that day I became cured of my homosexuality and became a new person, and I have now devoted my life to following Jesus.
