Christian Well-Being

Hi,

We're contacting you as the moderators of Grace Centered. Our lab group is doing a study on the daily well-being of Christians, and we were hoping to be able to post a recruitment notice to your message forum. We won't do this without your permission, and we hope that you will allow this because the daily stress experienced by Christians is a very under-studied area of research, and we'd love to hear from members your group.

The survey is entirely online, and participants who complete the survey, including people from your group, will be able to enter to win a $15 gift card, and we are giving out 35 gift cards.

Please note that we want to be clear that the purpose of this research is NOT to portray Christians in any negative light, whatsoever. We are interested in the daily stress experienced by Christians and factors such as whether they feel they can be open about their faith at work. Very little research has examined the experiences of Christians in this regard.

Please feel free to contact the study principal investigator, Dr. Mike Parent, directly at  if you have any questions or concerns at all about this study.

This study is being conducted by Dr. Mike Parent (Texas Tech University), Dr. Melanie Brewster (Teacher's College), and Dr. Stephen Cook (Hardin-Simmons University). This study was approved by the Texas Tech Institutional Review Board.

(You may have received an earlier message about this study from another research assistant who was on the project, who sent out these requests for permission to post the study on your page before the project was ready. Please disregard that prior message.)

Thank you!

Dr. Mike Parent
Dr. Melanie Brewster
Dr. Stephen Cook
